Abstract: A guide roller and a method for manufacturing a guide roller combines a cost-efficient manufacture and hard, wear-resistant webs for contact with a substrate. An at least one web consists of a second material which differs from a first material of a base body. The webs or the at least one web is applied to the base body by means of a deposition welding process, a thermal spraying process, a plasma transferred arc spraying process, a laser deposition welding process, or by means of an additive manufacturing process. Guide rollers of this type are used on machines that process substrate webs or substrate strands, such as web-fed printing presses, systems for processing already printed substrate webs or similar systems.

Abstract: A knife strip, cutting bar and adjusting device are provided by means of which an exact adjustment of the knife height is ensured for the entire service life of the adjusting device or of the knife bar, or by means of which the use of an adjusting device can even be forgone completely. An adjusting device includes a knife strip wherein at least one stop surface is formed in the area of at least one outer edge. An adjusting device includes at least one stop against which the at least one stop surface of the knife strip is placed. A knife bar includes at least one stop against which the at least one stop surface of the knife strip is placed.

Abstract: A cross cutting device of a reel-fed printing press for cutting copies off a printed substrate web through cross cutting of the substrate web is disclosed. The cross cutting device includes at least two cross cutting modules each of which include a cutting cylinder and a counterpart cylinder interacting with the cutting cylinder. Each of the cross cutting modules can be displaced between a working position and a rest position.
