  • Publication number: 20070289462
Abstract: A turner assembly for a web-fed rotary press includes a plurality of turner bars, wherein at least one web of a web-like printed material is introduced into the turner assembly in an entry direction. Slitters arranged upstream of the turner bars in the entry direction of the printed material cut the web into partial webs which are turned and deflected on the turner bars such that turned partial webs are led out of the turner assembly in an exit direction. At least one turner bar is assigned to each partial web and is individually moved in the entry direction such that each of the partial webs are fed to one of several formers or folder superstructures, depending on the position of the corresponding turner bar or each corresponding turner bar.

  • Publication number: 20060107856
Abstract: An arrangement includes at least two web-fed rotary presses, wherein each of the at least two web-fed rotary presses includes a roll-changer unit with a plurality of roll changers, a printing unit with a plurality of press-unit towers, a turner-bar unit with a plurality of turner bars, and a folder unit with at least one folder superstructure and at least one folding unit. The units are arranged one behind the other in the axial direction of the respective web-fed rotary press. The web-fed rotary presses are arranged at a minimum axial distance from one another, and at least two of the roll changers of each of the roll-changer units are positioned above one another.

  • Patent number: 5223697
Abstract: The rim of an electric radiant heater is formed by a multilayer body (13). It can have the cross-sectional shape of a U, whose interior is filled with a good insulating material. In the interior (23) is placed a sensor coil (23) for a pot detection system, where it is well shielded against heat and mechanical influences.

  • Patent number: 5164020
Abstract: A solar panel for use in a roof mounted array of solar panels, each panel having ridges protruding outwardly and adjacent to the side edges for receiving a standing seam cap between side-adjacent panels. Each solar panel is formed as an integral structure having a photovoltaic module an edge of which is sealed by a base substrate. The base substrate is configured to have lipped top and bottom edges which interlock to form a watertight seal between top-adjacent and bottom-adjacent solar panels. The solar panel array can be mounted on a roof, in place of shingles or the like, to provide environmental protection for the interior of a building.

  • Patent number: 4123144
Abstract: A four component six lens element Gauss type objective having an aperture ratio of at least 1:2.4 and a field angle of greater than 40.degree. , comprising in the direction of light travel: a first single component positive meniscus concave toward the diaphragm; a second and third cemented doublet meniscus component concave toward the diaphragm, each of the doublet components having planar bond surfaces and a low positive or negative power of refraction; a diaphragm located between said second and third component; and a fourth single component having positive power of refraction with the weaker surface facing the diaphragm; wherein at least two pairs of spherical lens surfaces which are arranged symmetrically with respect to the diaphragm have identical radii of curvature; wherein the ratio of the dispersion values of the first and sixth lens, of the second and fifth lens, and of the third and fourth lens, respectively, in the direction of light travel, are essentially as follows:0.58 .ltoreq. .nu..sub.1 : .

  • Patent number: 4020531
Abstract: A clamp for waveguides or other cable has two members with overall semicylindrical contour, one being stiff, the other one being constructed from two flexible, integrally joint portions. The two members are bolted together on one side and bolted or hinged on the other side. The stiffer member can be separately bolted to a support by means of different kinds of bolts and fastening rods.
