    Abstract: An information handling system is powered by a battery. In response to determining that a remaining amount of power within the battery has fallen below a first threshold, power consumption of the information handling system is reduced by reducing at least one non-critical operation of the information handling system, while maintaining at least one critical operation of the information handling system. After reducing the at least one non-critical operation, it is increased in response to determining that the remaining amount of power within the battery has risen above a second threshold.
