  • Patent number: 9264427
Abstract: The present invention is a method and system of transferring any telephone call designated to a first user to the cellular telephone of a second user. The system authenticates an end user's biometric information and then allows the end user to answer an incoming landline telephone call from any location using a cellular phone. Additionally, the reverse situation is true. An authenticated end user can answer an incoming cellular telephone call from any location using an available landline telephone.

  • Publication number: 20080291022
Abstract: In accordance with the present invention, radio frequency identification (RFID) and short message service center (SMS), or follow-on technology, e.g., Mobile Multimedia Services (MMS) technology is implemented to support an identification and messaging system. A social services server tracks a user's location with a RFID or GPS or similar system and also acquires locations for user-selected contacts which are made available to the system. When a system user is near a user-selected contact or individual within a selected group that the user wants to meet, a message or other alert, such as an SMS message, is automatically sent to the user's cellular telephone or other communications device, telling the user that the selected contact is nearby.

  • Publication number: 20080101575
Abstract: A computer implemented method and a computer program product for prioritizing a participant in a teleconference are provided. Participants in a teleconference are prioritized in order to manage the participants currently speaking and participants wanting to interrupt. A participant has an individual or a group priority level associated with the participant, which is communicated to a teleconference system. When the participant indicates a desire to interrupt a currently speaking participant, the teleconference system compares the priorities of the participant and the currently speaking participant. If the participant has the priority necessary for the interruption, the teleconference system grants the participant an ability to interrupt the teleconference.

  • Publication number: 20080082226
Abstract: A computer implemented method, data processing system, and computer usable program code are provided for automatically initiating a set of vehicle functions for a vehicle. A set of settings is received for a set of vehicle functions. The set of settings includes a set of thresholds for the set of vehicle functions. A set of sensors are monitored on the vehicle and a signal is received from a sensor within the set of sensors indicating that a condition has occurred. Responsive to receiving the signal, a determination is made as to whether the condition meets or exceeds a threshold within the set of thresholds. Responsive to the condition meeting or exceeding the threshold, a command is sent to a device actuator to automatically perform a function within the set of vehicle functions.
