  • Publication number: 20160110810
Abstract: Systems and computerized methods are described for providing a research result tailored to user profile data of an account owner. A first server computing device generates a research request based on retrieved user profile data and user query data received from a client device, and transmits the research request to a second server computing device aggregating research data ingested from information sources. The first server computing device receives a research response from the second server computing device and analyzes the research response using a first predetermined metric threshold based on at least a confidence rating associated with each item of research data in the response, and a predetermined reliability rating of its associated information source. The first server computing device formats a research result including the items of research data that exceed the first predetermined metric threshold, and provides the research result to the client device.

  • Publication number: 20040011048
Abstract: The invention concerns a method of operating a combustion plant comprising at least a first gas turbine (26), a second turbine (34, 50) and a membrane reactor device (16) which comprises a membrane filter device (18) for separating oxygen from a gas mixture and a combustion space (19). A gas mixture containing oxygen is supplied to the membrane reactor device (16). At least some oxygen is separated from the gas mixture with the help of the membrane filter device (18). The separated oxygen is used at the combustion in the combustion space (19). The oxygen-depleted gas that is obtained after the separation of oxygen and which has not gone through a combustion process is used to run the first gas turbine (26). Combustion gases run the second turbine (34, 50). The invention also concerns a combustion plant for carrying out the method.

  • Patent number: 6082451
Abstract: A new method for introducing wellbore cement into a wellbore shoe joint has been invented, the shoe joint having a hollow tubular body, the shoe joint containing an amount of wellbore fluid, the shoe joint disposed in a wellbore cementing system between a float shoe, guide shoe, or other flow apparatus beneath the shoe joint, and a hollow tubular member above the shoe joint, the hollow tubular member being a lower part of a wellbore tubular string of a plurality of tubular members (e.g., casing) extending from an earth surface down into a wellbore, the method including moving a wellbore wiper plug into the hollow tubular body of the shoe joint, moving the plug within the shoe joint to push wellbore fluid from the shoe joint and, in one aspect, debris in the fluid, the fluid flowing to the float shoe, guide shoe or other flow apparatus, flowing wellbore cement into the hollow tubular body of the shoe joint.

  • Patent number: 6021379
Abstract: A method for reconstructing a selected seismic wavefield at a designated common midpoint and offset location from a set of prestack seismic data traces. The method uses actual data traces from other common midpoint and offset locations to reconstruct the selected wavefield at the designated reconstruction location. The method may be used to reconstruct any selected wavefield, including both primary reflection wavefields and secondary wavefields such as water-bottom multiple wavefields, and may be used with both 2-D and 3-D seismic data. If the reconstructed wavefield is a secondary wavefield, it may be subtracted from the prestack seismic data traces to eliminate interference between wavefields. The method may also be used to reconstruct data from missing shots to avoid spatial aliasing problems in other data processing operations.

  • Patent number: 4895218
Abstract: A downhole seismic acoustical signal source capable of selectively firing numerous, prewired explosive charges. The downhole seismic source uses a self-contained firing circuit that is capable of receiving select and fire signals from a seismic crew at the ground surface through a standard seven conductor wireline cable to detonate the explosive charges. The downhole seismic source is capable of generating numerous signals in a given downhole trip through the firing of many individual explosive charges.

  • Patent number: 4390056
Abstract: An apparatus and method for producing one or more hollow sand cores suitable for casting moulds using a bipartite core box defining a mould cavity into which sand and a catalyst or a curing agent are introduced. The method includes the steps of establishing a pressure gradient which decreases from the interior to the exterior of a non-heated core box of porous material; introducing sand and a catalyst or a curing agent into the mould cavity defined by the non-heated core box; and directing the introduced sand and catalyst or curing agent against the interior surface of the non-heated core box, which step of directing, at least in part, is obtained by the pressure gradient established between the interior and exterior of the non-heated core box. The apparatus provides structure for accomplishing the above described method.
