  • Patent number: 8378985
Abstract: An electronic device includes a first touch panel disposed on a first side of the device. The first touch panel receives a first touch input. The electronic device further includes a display disposed on the first side of the device, and a touch interface disposed on a second side of the device, where the second side is different than the first side. The touch interface receives a second touch input. A control unit receives an indication of the first touch input from the first touch panel and receives an indication of the second touch input from the touch interface. The control unit further determines alterations to a three dimensional view of the display in the x, y and/or z directions based on the first touch input, and rotates the three dimensional view on the display angularly in accordance with movement of the second touch input.

  • Publication number: 20120019557
Abstract: A device may obtain location information of an AR display device and obtain identifiers associated with objects that are within a field of view of the AR display device based on the location information. In addition, the device may obtain, for each of the objects, AR information based on the identifiers and determine, for each of the objects, a distance of the object from the AR display device. Furthermore, the device may generate, for each of the objects, images of the AR information at a virtual distance from the AR display device, the virtual distance corresponding to the determined distance. The device may display the generated images at the AR display device.

  • Publication number: 20090265165
Abstract: A method and apparatus for labeling an image recorded by a portable electronic device with descriptive tags is disclosed. Sounds in the vicinity of the portable electronic device are recorded. When the image is captured, the audio record of recorded sounds from a first predetermined period of time prior to the capture of the image until a second predetermined period of time after the capture of the image is retrieved. The retrieved audio record is processed to create a list of recognizable words in the retrieved audio record. The list of recognizable words is then stored in a metatag field associated with the captured image.

  • Publication number: 20090054058
Abstract: A system and method for a plurality of electronic equipment located within a short range communication zone to share bandwidth with each other. In one aspect of the invention, an electronic equipment (a requesting electronic equipment) transmits a request for content over a cellular telephone network (e.g., 3G, GPRS, etc.). In addition, the electronic equipment communicates with other electronic equipment through a wireless local area network (WLAN) interface (e.g., Bluetooth, 802.11, etc.) to determine if the other electronic equipment are available to share bandwidth with the requesting electronic equipment. The other electronic transmit the requested content to the master portable communication device through the WLAN interface.

  • Publication number: 20080293448
Abstract: According to the invention a first communication device investigates if there is an entry of a contacting identifier received in the device in a contacts register. In case there is no such entry it locates, in the contacts register, communication devices in a set of communication devices providing a lookup service, which set includes at least one communication device and where at least one communication device is a personal communication device, an sends a query regarding the contacting identifier to at least one second communication device of the set. The second communication device receives the query and investigates an own contacts register. In case the contacting identifier is provided in the own contacts register it further locates an identity associated with the contacting identifier and automatically sends data regarding the identity to the first communication device as a response to the query.
