Patent number: 11274841Abstract: The present invention relates to a decentralized hybrid ventilation. The ventilation system comprises a housing having an inlet channel and an outlet channel. A first fan is arranged in the inlet channel for providing an airflow into the room and a second fan is arranged in the outlet channel for providing an airflow out of the room. A heat exchanger and filters are arranged in said channels for exchanging heat between and for filtrating air flowing into the room and air flowing out of the room. Furthermore, the ventilation system comprises a first and a second service door each providing, when open, an opening between the room and one of said channels to diverge the airflow from primarily flowing through the air filters and/or heat exchanger. The ventilation system also comprises a control system configured for switching between different modes of operations.Type: GrantFiled: February 13, 2020Date of Patent: March 15, 2022Assignee: Airmaster A/SInventor: Erik Bjørn

Publication number: 20180038612Abstract: A system for supplying air under the ceiling of a room comprising a pair of air inlet openings arranged side by side and configured to supply a pair of air streams into the room along the ceiling. The pair of air inlet openings are controllable to assume a first configuration where the supplied pair of air streams have first air stream directions spanning a first span angle and form a first angle with the ceiling, and the pair of air streams are substantially distinct air streams; and a second configuration where the supplied pair of air streams have second air stream directions spanning a second span angle smaller than the first span angle and form a second angle with the ceiling and are directed lower than in the first configuration, and the pair of air streams combine to form a combined air stream.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 3, 2016Publication date: February 8, 2018Inventor: Erik Bjorn

Patent number: 9728667Abstract: A device that detects single optical and radiation events and that provides improved blue detection efficiency and lower dark currents than prior silicon SSPM devices. The sensing element of the devices is a photodiode that may be used to provide single photon detection through the process of generating a self-sustained avalanche. The type of diode is called a Geiger photodiode or signal photon-counting avalanche diode. A CMOS photodiode can be fabricated using a “buried” doping layer for the P-N junction, where the high doping concentration and P-N junction is deep beneath the surface, and the doping concentration at the surface of the diode may be low. The use of a buried layer with a high doping concentration compared to the near surface layer of the primary P-N junction allows for the electric field of the depletion region to extend up near the surface of the diode. With a low doping concentration through the bulk of the diode, the induced bulk defects are limited, which may reduce the dark current.Type: GrantFiled: February 19, 2016Date of Patent: August 8, 2017Assignee: Radiation Monitoring Devices, Inc.Inventors: Erik Bjorn Johnson, Xiao Jie Chen, Chad Whitney, Christopher Stapels, James F.
