  • Publication number: 20040136138
Abstract: Characteristics of micro electromechanical switches can be changed according to the invention by applying a control signal which either changes one or more parameters of the micro electromechanical switches or which controls beam movement by feedback signals. It is thereby possible to change switching transient time, maximum switching frequency, power tolerance, and/or sensitivity (actuation voltage) of a micro electromechanical switch.

  • Patent number: 6753685
Abstract: The invention relates to a device (100, 200) for use in the detection of the power that passes through an electronic device, comprising means (110) for division of the power that enters the device into a first and a second branch. Each branch receives a predetermined proportion of the total input power with a predetermined phase difference between the signals that go into the branches, and the device comprises a first power detector (140) for the first branch and a means (130) for summation of the power in the two branches. The invention is characterized in that the device (100, 200) further comprises a second power detector (150) for the second branch, and in that the means (130) for summation can be controlled with regard to which branch and thereby to which power detector (140, 150) the sum of the power is diverted, and in that the device comprises, in one of its branches, means (120) for said control of the summator.

  • Patent number: 6540449
Abstract: A rotatable tool for chip removing machining includes a shaft and a cutting body connected detachably to the shaft by a drawbar. At its front end the drawbar has a locking device for effecting mechanical engagement with the cutting body. The drawbar is axially movable by an actuating element located at a distance from the locking device. Inside the cutting body there is a cavity, which communicates with an opening in a rear part of the cutting body. The opening has a smaller width than the cavity, and the locking device has a larger width than the opening in order to be able to be pressed against an interior rear surface of the cavity of the cutting body after the locking device is inserted into in the cavity.

Abstract: An arrangement for coupling electro magnetic waves, particularly microwaves, into and/or out of a device which includes a dielectric resonator having a non-linear dielectric substrate with a high dielectric constant and a coupling loop. The dimensions of the resonator and the coupling loop are related to the resonant frequency of the resonator. The coupling loop is so arranged in relation to the resonator that the magnetic field lines around the coupling loop match the internal film distribution of at least one mode, which has been selected to be excited, so that only that mode is excited. Coupling is provided only for this mode. The length of the coupling loop is comparable to or larger that the dimensions of the resonator.

  • Patent number: 5765919
Abstract: An arm-rest which can be readily adjusted vertically and laterally and intended, for instance, for a toilet or lavatory seat, and which has few movable parts. A positionally adjustable arm-rest includes an arm-rest part and a frame-part, wherein one end (1) of the arm-support part is inserted together with two surrounding slide blocks (5) into the frame-part (3) enabling the arm-support part to be retained in its raised or lowered position. With the arm-rest in an essentially non-loaded state, the slide blocks (5) fix and hold the arm-rest in a horizontal position. The end of the arm-rest also includes a pressure surface (6) which acts against the inner surface of the frame-part so that the arm-rest will not give way when subjected to load. The user can readily adjust the position of the arm-rest by gripping the part and swinging it slightly upwards while moving the same to the position desired.
