  • Publication number: 20190039116
Abstract: A segment adapted to be mounted on a shaft to form a camshaft, wherein the segment comprises a through hole adapted to receive the shaft, and wherein the shape of the hole in the segment is adapted to the cross section of the shaft in such a way that when mounted, the segment has a strain causing it to exert a radial load on the shaft in at least two contact points, wherein an inner surface of the hole has at least one deviation to create at least three contact points between the segment and the shaft, and wherein the at least three contact points are non-uniformly distributed about the circumference of the hole. Advantages include that the camshaft can be made lightweight, with less difficulties and at a lower cost as well as with increased precision in angular positioning of the segment on the shaft.

  • Publication number: 20090247634
Abstract: A method for identifying a compound for modulating the formation of 14,15-LTC4 (Eoxin C4; EoxC4), 14,15-LTD4 (Eoxin D4; EoxD4), or 14,15-LTE4 (Eoxin E4; EoxE4) in a biological system. A method for identifying a compound with an anti-inflammatory effect, the method comprising testing the compound for an effect on formation and/or activity of 14,15-LTC4 (Eoxin C4; EoxC4), 14,15-LTD4 (Eoxin D4; EoxD4), or 14,15-LTE4 (Eoxin E4; EoxE4) in a biological system. A method of making an anti-inflammatory composition or Eoxin formation-modulating composition comprising (i) identifying an anti-inflammatory compound or Eoxin formation-modulating compound by a method of the invention; (ii) combining the compound with a pharmaceutically acceptable excipient or carrier.

  • Publication number: 20080081835
Abstract: The invention relates to the use of an inhibitor of the biosynthesis and/or function of LTB4 for the manufacture of a medicament for the treatment of B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia (B-CLL), B-prolymphocytic leukemia (B-PLL) or B-cell lymphoma. Preferably, the inhibitor of the biosynthesis and/or function of LTB4 is the inhibitor of 5-LO BWA4C or the inhibitor of FLAP MK-886.
