  • Publication number: 20120154260
Abstract: A drive circuit (DR) drives a plurality of LED strings (DS1, DS2; DS10) each comprising at least one LED (Di). The drive circuit comprises a resonance inductor (K1), and a plurality of branches which each comprise a series arrangement of a resonance capacitor (C31, C32; C34, C35) and an associated one of the plurality of LED strings (DS1, DS2; DS10). The resonance capacitor (C31, C32; C34, C35) is arranged between the resonance inductor (K1) and its associated one of the plurality of LED strings (DS1, DS2; DS10) to receive a resonance voltage (VAC) from the resonance inductor (K1). A level and frequency of the resonance voltage (VAC) and an impedance of the resonance capacitor (C31, C32; C34, C35) are selected to obtain a current source supplying a LED current (IL1 IL2; IL10) through the associated one of the plurality of LED strings (DS1, DS2; DS10) which is substantially independent on a tolerance on forward voltages of LED's of the associated one of the plurality of LED strings (DS1, DS2; DS10).

  • Publication number: 20080282284
Abstract: There are provided apparatus and methods for controlling distribution of data from a first device to a second device. One such apparatus includes a broadcast flag detector and a data manipulation device (106). The broadcast flag detector is for detecting one or more portions of the data associated with an enabled broadcast flag (BF). The data manipulation device (106) is for manipulating the one or more portions so as to render the one or more portions of the data useable in the first device only upon further manipulation and so as to render the one or more portions of the data permanently unusable in the second device.

  • Publication number: 20020047928
Abstract: The invention relates to a circuit (2) for generating a composite output picture signal (6) such as a picture signal comprising a PIP (Picture-in-Picture) signal or a DW (Double window) signal on the basis of at least two input picture signals (4.1, 4.2), the circuit comprising a color decoding unit (8) for decoding the at least two input picture signals (4.1, 4.2), and a composing unit (10) for generating the composite output picture signal (6) on the basis of the decoded at least two input picture signals. According to the invention, the color decoding unit (8) comprise a combining unit (14) for combining the at least two input picture signals (4.1, 4.2) into one combined picture signal (16), and one color decoder (18) for decoding the combined picture signal (16) to obtain a single decoded picture signal (12), the composing unit (10) being arranged to generate the composite output picture signal (6) on the basis of the single decoded combined picture signal (12).
