  • Publication number: 20230286594
Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for vehicle conversion projects. In one embodiment, disclosed are systems and methods for a flooring system, which can be used for installation in vehicle. In some embodiments, the flooring system includes flooring sections having matching tabs and notches that interlock. In certain embodiments, a clamping method uses bolts, nut inserts, and washers to clamp the flooring sections to each other. In one embodiment, the washers are configured and placed to overlap joints of the flooring sections. In some embodiments, floor brackets can be used to secure a flooring section to a fixed fixture of the vehicle. In one embodiment, the flooring sections are patterns cut into sheets of material and provided with retaining tabs to facilitate flat pack shipping of the flooring sections.

  • Publication number: 20220307540
Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for attaching interior furnishings in a vehicle. In one embodiment, a system can include an anchor having a rivet nut, a bolt for engaging the rivet nut, and a railing that can be fastened to the anchor with the bolt. In certain embodiments, the anchor can include a main plate having a rivet nut, a backer plate having press nuts, and screws suitably configured to engage the press nuts and facilitate a movement of the backer plate towards the main plate. In some embodiments, the anchor is configured to fit into and removably attach to a factory cutout of a wall of the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20210139124
Abstract: Devices and methods are disclosed related to electric propulsion drives for watercraft. In some embodiments, an electric drive includes an active cooling loop facilitated by a rotating electric motor pumping a coolant through a mast and a housing of the electric drive. The mast can be provided with a separation wall to separate and guide streams of cooler and hotter coolant. The motor and an ESC can be cooled by the coolant. In certain embodiments, the electric drive includes a rotor jacket that substantially surrounds an external rotor of an electric motor; the rotor jacket substantially reduces unwanted eddy currents, and thereby allows the use a large motor and a housing with a smaller external diameter, which reduces hydrodynamic drag. In one embodiment, the external rotor is coupled directly, without intermediary gearing, to a propeller.

  • Patent number: 8167986
Abstract: An airborne particulate sampling device is disclosed. The device includes a conduit whose interior allows the flow of air through the device. The conduit, or at least its surface, is a conductor. The device also includes an electrode with a sharp tip or edge on or near the output side of the conduit. An electrically conducting particle collector outside the conduit is positioned so that a surface is perpendicular or approximately perpendicular to the axis of the funnel. A fan or other blower forces air through the funnel. A power supply imparts an electrostatic potential difference between the electrode, on the one hand, and the holder and particle collector, on the other hand. The electrostatic potential difference produces a corona field in the air in the vicinity of the electrode's sharp tip. The corona field imparts a charge to airborne particles.

  • Publication number: 20080050496
Abstract: An apparatus and method of combining and mixing in precise proportions two or more chemicals or compounds is disclosed. The basic design of the apparatus comprises an operator control system, a drive motive assembly, one or more mixing chamber assemblies, and a cooling system. Suitable proportions of each chemical or compound may be controlled with relatively high precision. In one embodiment, the mixing chamber assemblies each comprise at least one static mixer having a plurality of perforations encased in an outer air-injection jacket. In this embodiment, the apparatus is used to make a cool, stabilized foam product, (e.g., whipping cream) infused with an alcoholic beverage without the need for adding supplemental foam stabilizing agents (e.g., polypropylene glycol alginate or pectin) to the product.
