  • Publication number: 20180270020
Abstract: A method for retransmission of uplink transmissions, performed by a wireless device with configured uplink grants. The method comprises transmitting a first transmission to a network node with a redundancy version (RV). The wireless device then determines to retransmit the first transmission, and retransmits the first transmission with a retransmission RV based on the type of retransmission. For a non-adaptive retransmission, the retransmission RV value is the same as the RV of the first retransmission. For an adaptive retransmission, the retransmission RV is the RV value received in a retransmission grant.

  • Patent number: 10064086
Abstract: Network node and UE, and methods therein for signaling system information, SI, to UEs. The method in the network node comprises transmitting SI to one or more UEs, where the SI comprises multiple alternative sets, where each set assigns different values to one or multiple radio system parameters. The method further comprises determining which set, out of the multiple alternative sets, that should currently be applied for a UE, and transmitting an SI selection signal to the UE, the SI selection signal indicating the determined set, thus enabling the UE to apply currently appropriate radio system parameters also in unfavorable radio conditions. The UE may be an MTC device (Machine Type Communication).

  • Publication number: 20180241501
Abstract: A radio node (52) in a wireless communication system (10) employs multiple different candidate formats (22) that define different possible positions of decoding checks (24) within a transport block of a specific size. The radio node (52) determines, from these different candidate formats (22), a format that defines a position of decoding checks (24) within a transport block (16) to be encoded or decoded. The radio node (52) then encodes or decodes at least a portion of the transport block (16) based on the determined format.

  • Patent number: 10057895
Abstract: A method in a wireless communication device for communication with a radio network node comprises receiving (210) of a first downlink control information on a first assignment. The first downlink control information comprises a reference to a second assignment, on which a second downlink control information is assigned to be received. It is determined (220) if the second downlink control information is obtainable. An indication indicating whether or not the second downlink control information was obtainable is transmitted (230) to the radio network node. A method in the radio network node for communication with the wireless communication device comprises transmitting of the first and second downlink control information. It is determined whether or not the second downlink control information was obtainable by the wireless communication device and based in this, a third downlink control information is transmitted on a third assignment. Corresponding devices and computer programs are also described.

  • Publication number: 20180213523
Abstract: PUCCH resource determination for HARQ-ACK transmission in response to ePDCCH-scheduled PDSCH or ePDCCH-indicated SPS release in a TDD radio communication system. Downlink control information (DCI) is received in a downlink subframe via an Enhanced Physical Downlink Control Channel (ePDCCH). A resource index for a Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH) resource is determined, based on the lowest enhanced Control Channel Element(eCCE) index of the received DCI, a device-specific offset value, and an index i that identifies the downlink subframe in a pre-determined set of one or more downlink subframes associated with an uplink subframe. The PUCCH resource is determined according to a formula that results in a sequential allocation of PUCCH resources in the uplink subframe with respect to the downlink subframes associated with the uplink subframe, for each of a plurality of sets of ePDCCH resources. HARQ feedback is transmitted in the uplink subframe, in the indexed PUCCH resource.

  • Publication number: 20180199358
Abstract: A first network node (110; 111; 112; 130), a wireless device (120) and methods thereof, for managing one or more uplink resources between the wireless device (120) and a wireless communication network (100) are provided. The first network node (110; 11; 112; 130) compiles (204; 401) resource information about uplink resources available for the wireless device (120) to select and request for uplink scheduling. Said resource information associates each one of multiple such uplink resources with one or more downlink reference signals. The first network node (110; 111; 112; 130) sends (205; 402) the compiled resource information to the wireless device (120). The wireless device (120 ) 10 is thereby enabled to select, based on the resource information, e.g. ASRT information and said one or more downlink reference signals, at least one of said uplink resources to request for uplink scheduling.

  • Publication number: 20180199319
Abstract: A network node in a wireless communication network communicates an enhanced Physical Downlink Control Channel (ePDCCH) to a user equipment (UE). This begins with the transmission, to the UE, of a configuration message that indicates the mappings of eDPCCH onto resource elements for both a first eDPCCH set and a second eDPCCH set. The mapping for the first eDPCCH set avoids the use of resource elements already in use by a first type of signal (e.g., a Cell-Specific Reference Signal or CRS), whereas the mapping for the second eDPCCH set avoids the use of resource elements in use by a second type of signal. The choice of an eDPCCH set for transmitting data to a UE may then be dynamically made in order to avoid interference caused by the first or second types of signal.
