  • Patent number: 7402097
Abstract: A bore honing device comprising a support assembly including first and second end support elements connected by a base support which supports an axial guide track. A trolley engaging with the guide track and the trolley being movable along the guide track for guide movement of a bore honing tool supported by the trolley. At least one adjustable guide is provided for limiting travel of the trolley along the guide track. A weight compensation mechanism is connected between the trolley and a desired end wall of the support assembly for exerting a force on the support assembly when a bore honing device is vertically oriented to compensate for the weight of the drive motor, the trolley and the honing tool.

  • Patent number: 6737608
Abstract: An apparatus, for providing a welding bead on a surface to be welded, comprises an arm supporting a welding torch in which the welding torch facilitates welding on a desired surface. A spindle supports the arm and the welding torch and at least a portion of an exterior surface of the spindle carries a thread. A motor supplies rotational drive to the spindle and causing rotation of the spindle and the arm which supports the welding torch. A framework supports a clutch, the drive and at least a portion of the spindle, and the clutch is supported by the framework so as to be engageable with the thread carried by the exterior surface of the spindle.

  • Patent number: 6448531
Abstract: A welding bead apparatus comprising a: first hollow arm supporting a second hollow arm, a hollow spindle supporting the second hollow arm, a drive, a releasable clutch and a housing. The first hollow arm is connected to the second hollow arm by a swivel bearing, and a remote end of the second hollow arm supports a nozzle for facilitating welding on a surface. The spindle has opposed first and second open ends and at least a portion of an exterior surface of the spindle has a thread formed thereon. The drive is coupled to the spindle for supplying rotational drive to the spindle and causing rotation thereof. The housing accommodates the clutch and the drive.

  • Patent number: 6137076
Abstract: A welding material supply mechanism for providing a welding bead on a surface comprising: a first hollow arm, a transfer tube, a second hollow arm, swivel bearing and a welding nozzle. The first hollow arm is connected to the second hollow arm by a swivel bearing, and a remote end of the second hollow arm supports a nozzle for facilitating welding on a surface. The swivel bearing facilitates pivoting movement of the second hollow arm relative to the first hollow arm to adjust a diameter of the welding bead to be formed on the surface, and a locking coupler facilitates locking the pivoted and adjusted position of the first hollow arm relative to the second hollow arm. The transfer tube is at least partially received within the first hollow arm and is concentric therewith. The transfer tube supports a female electrical connector coupled to the swivel bearing, the transfer tube establishes a welding electrical current path to the nozzle via the swivel bearing and the second hollow arm.
