  • Publication number: 20060052759
Abstract: A percutaneous implant serves for implantation into an animal or a human body. The implant is of the kind that has an axial interior section for fixation inside the body, an axial exterior section in communication with the interior section and extending outwards from the body with a free end. The free end of the exterior section serves for mounting of a detachable device. A distal end of the interior section opposite the exterior section is provided with an anchoring section, extending radially from the distal end of the interior section. The anchoring section comprises an inner anchoring ring extending from or integral with the interior section, an outer anchoring ring, and at least one connection member for connecting the inner anchoring ring with the outer anchoring ring.

  • Publication number: 20050043651
Abstract: System for monitoring heart status. The system includes at least one sensor (2) arranged to be fastened in mycoardium and to produce signals as a function of movement, an amplifier and a calculating unit being arranged to amplify and calculate the signals, to determine the frequency distribution of the signals, a comparator to compare the frequency distribution with a pre-set standard distribution, and an alarm transmitter designed to give a signal when the difference between said distributions exceeds a certain value.

  • Patent number: 6803727
Abstract: A lighting system, preferably for use in operating theatres, in which at least one light source is mounted to be movable an adjustable in a single ceiling and/or wall element in the form of a prefabricated module element (4). The light sources in each module element may be controlled singly or in clusters by means of a control device designed to direct the source or sources to focus at a point defined by an optical, ultrasound or magnetic, radio frequency pointer that is seen by an appropriate sensor/camera system or receiver in the room, and which, via control means, moves the light source to the desired position. The light source consists of light-emitting diodes, halogen bulbs or the end of one or several fiber-optical cables, fixed ion a holder shaped as one half of a cup or a sphere, the holder being arranges to be movable about two perpendicular axes in the xy-plane (the ceiling plane) of the ceiling module (4).

  • Patent number: 6743243
Abstract: A support device for endoscopic suturless anastomosis between tubular organs include at least a first tubular member provided with a longitudinal slit which permits introduction of the organs to be anastomosed in the device and additional second tubular members in physical continuity with the first tubular member through an opening on the first tubular member. The size of the opening is substantially equal to the luminal area of the second member. The inner and outer diameters of any radial cross section of the second members are constant along its length. The device allows apposition of the two tubular organs to be anastomosed in a variety of spatial patterns and their fixation to each other without sutures or clips, either manually or via remote control, and the creation of luminal continuity between them.

  • Publication number: 20040102794
Abstract: The invention concerns a device for temporary coupling an anastomosis prosthesis to an anastomosis apparatus, a deployment apparatus and a prosthesis for performing suturless anastomosis. Coupling of the anastomosis prosthesis to the coupling device is performed by suction and coupling of the coupling device to the deployment tube is performed by a fixation and a fastening mechanism.
