  • Patent number: 4540309
Abstract: An attachment device comprises a conical screw and a hook which fits thereto with a curved center portion having a slot extending in the length direction of the hook. A plate can be engaged in said slot so that an aperture in the plate located near the edge thereof partly reaches inside the hook, whereafter the screw can be inserted therein. The screw then engages the edge of the aperture and the concave portion of the hook. The hook itself is inserted through an aperture in a rail and is held against one of its sides, so that the plate is drawn perpendicularly against the opposite side of the rail.

  • Patent number: 4380102
Abstract: The invention provides a clasping device that is simple to utilize and remove, and comprises a minimum number of operating components, yet is capable of efficiently performing a clasping function. A base is provided having first and second ends with an object-receiving surface disposed between the ends. A hasp, which preferably is of inextensible but flexible material, has first and second ends operatively cooperating with the base first and second ends, and has an object-receiving surface disposed between its ends. A conical screw acts between the base and the hasp for, when it is advanced, effecting relative movement between the hasp and base object-receiving surfaces to cause the object to be tightly clasped therebetween. The first and second ends of the base and hasp may take a wide variety of forms depending upon the particular nature of the hasp itself, the object to be held, and the environment.

  • Patent number: 4167355
Abstract: An attachment device and assembly for effecting connection and disconnection between component parts in a simple but reliable manner. A first structure includes first and second substantially parallel spaced apart plates, a conically-shaped, conically threaded member having a given cone angle attaching the first structure to a second structure which operatively abuts the first structure. Each plate has an aperture formed in it, the apertures being larger than the cross-sectional area of the threaded member portions being received thereby, and the second structure having a surface portion operatively abutted by the threaded member so that forces are applied tending to push the surface portion and aperture edges apart. The angle formed between a line tangent to the aperture edges and a line in the plane of the surface portion is equal to the cone angle of the threaded member.

  • Patent number: 4133085
Abstract: A connecting clamp is described which is adapted for easily releasable attachment to a bar or tube having a multi-cornered cross-section. The clamp consists of a yoke having fixed jaws at its ends. One jaw fits closely to one corner of the bar or tube, and the other jaw extends past an opposite corner of the bar or tube and at an obtuse angle, so that a tapering interspace is formed. A wedge for securing the clamp is pressed into said space by a bolt attached to the midpoint of the wedge and extending through the yoke. A recess in the obtuse-angled jaws allows the bolt to swing aside when the wedge has been retracted past the tip of the jaw, thus clearing the tapering space and enabling the removal of the clamp.
