  • Patent number: 7808062
Abstract: A signal isolator for providing at an output thereof representations of input currents from a source provided in an input conductor supported on a substrate having a bridge circuit suited for electrical connection to a source of electrical energization with a pair of series circuit members electrically connected in parallel with one another supported on a substrate with each series circuit member having a magnetoresistive member electrically connected in series with a current value controller, controlled at a controller terminal, at an output terminal of that controller. Each magnetoresistive members is electrically isolated from the input conductor and has a resistance versus applied external magnetic field characteristic that is substantially linear for at least relatively small externally applied magnetic fields.

  • Patent number: 6583629
Abstract: A signal transmission system (10) for providing electrical energization to a load electrically connected to a system output (38) based on input signals provided to a system input (11,12). The system (10) has a condition determiner for determining the occurrence or absence of a selected condition. A pulser to provide the system output and the system input connected to an oscillator. The condition determiner is coupled to at least a selected one of the oscillator and the pulser to cause the pulser to provide electrical energization pulses at the system output based on the system input (11,12).

  • Patent number: 6351118
Abstract: Helmet trackers include transmitters to transmit information regarding the orientation and position of the helmet, receivers to receive the information, and processors to process the information to determine the position and orientation of the helmet. An apparatus, connected to the transmitter, is used to attain a faster response time for the transmitter to transmit. Such apparatus may include an amplifier, a plurality of capacitors connected to the amplifier, a plurality of transistors each connected to a respective capacitor, and a controller connected to each transistor to control when a transistor turns on. The capacitors can store charge while the transistors are “off,” and once the transistors are turned “on”, an instant charge will exist to supply energy to the transmitter.
