  • Patent number: 7258111
Abstract: An oil separator that removes oil from ventilation gases flowing between a crankcase and an intake manifold of an internal combustion engine. The oil separator includes a housing having an inlet and an outlet. The housing includes a guide wall having a plurality of holes to allow gases to flow therethrough between the inlet and the outlet. A plate is movably coupled to the housing for movement between a closed position blocking the flow of gases through the holes in the guide wall and an open position spaced apart from the guide wall to allow gases to flow through at least one of the holes in the guide wall. A diaphragm has a movable portion coupled to the plate. The diaphragm defines a substantially closed volume continuous with the intake manifold so that pressure changes in the intake manifold causes corresponding displacement of the movable portion and the plate relative to the housing.

  • Patent number: 6311676
Abstract: An arrangement for cooling the temperature of a source of air prior to introduction into a motor vehicle engine includes an intercooler core and an intercooler housing. The intercooler core has a generally cylindrical shape. The intercooler housing defines an inner chamber receiving the intercooler core. The intercooler housing has an intake side with at least one intake port in communication with the intercooler core and an outlet side with at least one outlet port in communication with the intercooler core. The intake side and the outlet side are spaced apart and parallel.

  • Patent number: 6029287
Abstract: A pressure flushing system for use within a toilet tank includes a pressure tank which has a predetermined volume. There is a water outlet for the tank, a water inlet for the tank, and an air inlet for the tank. The air inlet is associated with the water inlet whereby water flowing into the tank draws air into the tank. A portion of the tank is thus occupied by water and a portion is occupied by air, with the air applying pressure to the water. There is a valve within the tank which controls the flow of water from the tank through the outlet. The volume of water within the tank which may flow through the outlet at any one operation of the valve is limited by a dam which is located within the tank and surrounds the outlet.

  • Patent number: 5857224
Abstract: A pressure flush tank for toilets is formed and adapted to be located within a toilet enclosure and is preferably formed of a non-metallic material such as plastic. The pressure flush tank has an essentially rectangular vertical cross section and an essentially rectangular horizontal cross section, with the tank including an upper housing portion and a lower housing portion. There is a peripheral projection on the lower surface of the upper housing portion and a peripheral recess along a facing surface of the lower housing portion, with the projection being positioned within and ultrasonically welded to the recess. Each of the housing portions has side walls and end walls, with each housing portion having reinforcing interior walls extending between opposing side walls to provide strength and rigidity for the pressure flush tank.
