  • Patent number: 10763630
Abstract: A connection system for a portable electronic device may allow for modular components to be coupled together. A primary module may comprise computing components, such as a processor, hard drive, wireless chip, battery, etc. Various secondary modules may be removably coupled to the primary module, such as batteries, charging stations, storage units, LTE hotspot devices, cover plates, cameras, virtual reality units, speakers, video screens, user interfaces, etc. The secondary modules may comprise connection posts which mate with receiving slots in the primary module to couple the primary and secondary components together.

  • Publication number: 20140279947
Abstract: A method, apparatus, and computer program product for processing data is disclosed. In one aspect of the invention, a computer implemented method comprises receiving, on one or more computers, a record having one or more attributes from a source system. The method also comprises measuring, on one or more computers, a data accuracy of the received record as compared to a golden record stored in a master data management system. One or more remediation actions are performed, on one or more computers, to enforce improvements to the measured data accuracy of the received record in the source system. In one or more embodiments, measurement of data accuracy comprises calculating, on one or more computers, an accuracy score defined by a closeness of the received record to the golden record.

  • Patent number: 8370355
Abstract: Embodiments of a method for managing entities include candidate selection by a transitive bucketing process where at least one attribute of an initial data record is used to determine a set of candidate data records corresponding to the initial data record. For each candidate data record thus determined, additional candidate data record(s) may be determined using attribute(s) not used in linking the candidate data record to the initial data record. This process may be repeated until no more candidate data records are returned. The initial data record and related candidates thus determined are then resolved into group entities, each having member records that match one another above a certain threshold. If no match is found, a group entity comprising a single data record may be created. These group entities are then reconciled with other entities in a master entity index system.

  • Patent number: 8356009
Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein provide an implementation defined segments (IDS) subsystem which allows new data segments to be added to an identity hub after deployment. A set of metadata tables are utilized to describe IDS, each of which is a data structure encapsulating a single row from a master data record residing in the identity hub. Once a segment (an object) is described, the identity hub can use the information to define persistent storage for the object in the database for any relational database management system, create internal structures to hold the data and process business rules and demographic comparisons against the data object, describe the data object to remote clients, and allow the clients to query the identity hub at runtime about what data objects exist, what fields and data types they contain, and additionally how they might be displayed or formatted on various clients.

  • Publication number: 20060222170
Abstract: An external system is provided for use with an electronic device. The device has a device housing and a dataport, and is powered from within the housing. The external system includes an apparatus held to the electronic device in an external location relative to the electronic device. The apparatus is configured to provide the electronic device with access to a source of memory external to the device. The apparatus does not negatively impact handling of the electronic device during use of the electronic device. The external system further includes one or more conduits which are configured to transmit signals between the apparatus and the dataport. The conduits are configured to be affixed to the housing so as to closely follow a contour of the housing.
