  • Publication number: 20250074422
Abstract: A computer system comprising processing circuitry configured to obtain topographic data containing information about the topography of the road along which a heavy-duty vehicle is currently travelling, the topographic data including information about an upcoming downhill slope; acquire prediction data indicative of the braking requirements for the upcoming downhill slope, the braking requirements including how much brake power and/or brake energy that will be needed in the upcoming downhill slope to maintain the speed of the heavy-duty vehicle at or below a selected speed limit of the heavy-duty vehicle throughout the travel in the downhill slope; determine a brake blending combination which allows a Selective Catalytic Reduction System (SCR) of the heavy-duty vehicle to be kept as warm as possible while still fulfilling the braking requirements; and apply the determined brake blending combination to the heavy-duty vehicle while travelling along the downhill slope.

  • Publication number: 20250006962
Abstract: The disclosed subject matter relates to a method for determining a starting sequence for a fuel cell arrangement including a plurality of fuel cell systems. The starting sequence includes the following information for each fuel cell system in the fuel cell arrangement: whether or not the fuel cell system should be started and, if the fuel cell system should be started, the starting time for the fuel cell system, said starting sequence being determined using the following as input: a power and/or energy need required from the fuel cell arrangement over an upcoming time range; a shutdown duration time of each fuel cell system, indicative of the time elapsed since the fuel cell system was lastly shutdown, and a predetermined degradation characteristic of each fuel cell system as a function of shutdown duration time.

  • Publication number: 20240308518
Abstract: In an aspect, a computer system is provided comprising processing circuitry configured to acquiring information indicating a temperature of an exhaust aftertreatment system, EATS, of a vehicle, maintaining a current gear of the vehicle in response to the vehicle approaching a downhill slope and the acquired information indicating that the temperature should be increased, and decreasing speed of an engine of the vehicle for causing engine braking in the downhill slope, while maintaining a speed of the vehicle within a set vehicle speed range.
