  • Patent number: 5752480
Abstract: Device for sealing a combustion chamber of a combustion engine, which combustion chamber is bounded by a cylinder liner, preferably replaceable and is surrounded by a cylinder block, a piston and a cylinder head. A disc-shaped sealing element is pressed in between the cylinder liner and the cylinder head, where either the liner or the cylinder head is provided with an annular protruding portion and the other one of them with a corresponding recess into which the sealing element is pressed. The protruding portion has a greater radial width than the recess.

  • Patent number: 5498168
Abstract: A device for earthing a bundle of shielded cables as protection against high frequency electromagnetic interference includes a rectangular metal collar in electrically conductive contact with the equipment to which or from which the shielded cables run. The cable shields are exposed and pressed into contact with an electrically conductive base plate in electrical contact with the collar, which includes pair-forming openings in each of two mutually opposing sides. The base plate is provided with pairs of outwardly projecting fingers intended for insertion into some of the pair-forming openings. A spring unit, including a pressure plate, a spring, a locking plate provided with pairs of outwardly projecting fingers, a counter-pressure plate, and a holder device, is intended to be inserted in pair-forming openings at a distance from the base plate via the fingers on the locking plate.

  • Patent number: 5222355
Abstract: An internal combustion engine assembly of the compound type for vehicles comprises an internal combustion engine, a turbine and a transmission arranged between the turbine and a crankshaft forming part of the engine. The turbine is designed to be driven by exhaust gases from the engine. On the rear end of the crankshaft a gear wheel is mounted. On this gear wheel there is formed a flange which functions as an extension of the crankshaft and attachment for a flywheel. With the present invention, it is possible to transmit the power from the turbine to the crankshaft without modifying the ring gear of the flywheel. The invention also affords advantages in terms of manufacturing, assembly and maintenance technology.

  • Patent number: 4860168
Abstract: The invention relates to a cable channel A for telephone cables (7) in a telephone exchange (4). The cable channel is mounted to join up with a horizontal cable run (3) at a height (H) in the excahnge. The cable run (3) can be placed at different heights (H) in different telephone exchanges, and for enabling the use of a single type of cable channel for the cable runs (3) at different heights (H), the cable channel in accordance with the invention is one such that it is adjustable in height and includes a first part (1), and a second part (2) movable in said first part so that the height of the channel can be varied and adjusted to the height (H) of the respective cable run (3). The telephone cables (7) are taken through the cable channel A to the telephony equipment in a shelf rack (5).

  • Patent number: 4767315
Abstract: The bed depth in a power plant burning sulfur-containing fuel in a fluidized bed of material which constitutes a sulfur absorbent in a combustion chamber is controlled on the basis of plant power output. A plurality of sensors connected to the combustion chamber determine the existing bed depth. A bed material mill grinds material removed from the bed prior to returning it to the bed, the rate at which the mill operates being controlled by the extent to which the actual bed depth differs from the desired bed depth. The mill grinds some bed material to small enough size for it to be carried from the combustion chamber with the combustion gases.

  • Patent number: 4646010
Abstract: A transmitter arrangement for a rotatable shaft (1) includes a rotor (2) in the form of a cog-wheel arrangement (7,8) which is to be mounted on the shaft (1). A stator (6a-6d) is rigid relative to the rotatable shaft (1), and is adapted for connection to an AC voltage source for generating electrical signals which depend on the angular position of the rotor (1) relative to the stator (6a-6d). The cog-wheel device is composed of a folded cog band (7) of magnetic material which is attached to a carrying band (8). The carrying band (8) is provided with means (11,12,13) for attachment of the cog-wheel device around the shaft (1) and is provided with radially extending tabs (9) on the surface facing the shaft. The tabs (9) guide a hose (10) which can be filled with fluid and which is insertable between the tabs (9). At filling with fluid, the hose (10) expands both around the periphery of the shaft (1) and towards the carrying band (8) for fixed mounting and centering of the cog-wheel device on the shaft (1).

  • Patent number: 4421036
Abstract: In a fluidized bed plant for the combustion of impure solid fuel in the presence of an absorbent material which absorbs and neutralizes the impurities, in particular sulfur, the supply of absorbent material to the fluidized bed is controlled in dependence on the impurity content in the exhaust gases leaving the fluidized bed. To achieve a rapid control, at least part of the absorbent material is supplied to the fluidized bed in a finely ground state. The bed material may consist of coarse-grained absorbent material or a chemically inactive material, or a mixture of these. Coarse-grained absorbent material which is discharged from the fluidized bed can have its particle size reduced and be passed back to the fluidized bed.

  • Patent number: 4016024
Abstract: A machine of introducing sound-insulating members of a resilient material at predetermined places in concrete beams formed by a lower concrete element, preferably coffer-shaped, and an upper concrete element in the form of a slab. The machine comprises means to raise the upper element from the lower element so as to form therebetween a gap intended to receive the sound-insulating members, means to sense the vertical dimensions of said gap, means to cut off a piece of insulating material the vertical dimensions of which agree with those of the gap, means to apply an adhesive to said member, and means to position said member in the gap in the predetermined position. The invention ensures that the total thickness of concrete beams including such a sound-insulating layer is equal for all beams thus composed irrespective of the individual thickness of the discrete concrete elements.

  • Patent number: 4012698
Abstract: A device for obtaining a jitterstable synchronization of a counter which has a clock input for receiving bit timing pulses from a remote control unit, an output for supplying regenerated frame timing pulses, and a reset input comprises: a phase comparator means which has an output arranged to supply an output signal if, and only if, a lag of the leading edge or a lead of the trailing edge occurs for the regenerated frame timing pulses transmitted from the counter relative to frame timing pulses transmitted from the control unit; and a memory means which has a signal input connected to the output of the phase comparator means, a clock input for receiving the bit timing pulses and reacting to an edge opposite to the edge on which the clock input of the counter is arranged to react, and an output connected to the reset input of the counter to reset the latter in dependence on whether the output signal from the phase comparator means is supplied.
