  • Patent number: 4945971
Abstract: The lateral chain legs of ladder cords for Venetian blinds in accordance with the invention are formed with regularly spaced openings to allow mounting of the cord. This is made possible by cutting the ladder cord to the desired length and removing the transverse cross connectors at the end portions of the cord, whereupon the cord may be mounted with the aid of the openings in the header and bottom mounting rails of the blind and the ladder cord length can be adjusted to any blind length. When the ladder cord is intended for use with Venetian blinds of standard lengths the chain legs need be provided with mounting openings only at the end portions of the standard length ladder cords.

  • Patent number: 4834307
Abstract: A fishing reel of the fixed-spool type comprises a frame and a spool shaft rotatably mounted therein. A line spool is non-rotatably mounted on the end of the spool shaft projecting from the frame. The reel has a transmission for changing the movement of a handle, both into a rotary movement of a rotor for winding up a line on the line spool and into a movement of an eccentric device for axial oscillation of the spool shaft. The reel further has an adjustable friction brake intended to allow the line spool to rotate under frictional drag in relation to the frame. Further, the fishing reel has a friction brake release device which is operated by the handle and which, when the handle is turned backwards (in a direction contrary to the direction of retrieve), acts on the preset friction brake so that it can be released and thereafter readily reengaged.

  • Patent number: 4791410
Abstract: An alarm system comprising at least one signal line (2, 4) for indicating damage to and/or an attempt to interferewith the line. The line is particularly suitable for incorporation in a net-structure particularly intended for use as a barrier net for denying foreign objects, such as under-water vessels, frogmen and the like access to water passageways, channels etc. To this end the signal line includes suitably flexible tubing (2, 4) which contains a coloured indicating or marking agent and is connected to sensors (8-11) which are constructed to cause an alarm signal to be given when there is a change in pressure and/or in the flow conditions in the tubing. The indicating agent in the tubing--suitably a coloured liquid--is placed under a pressure of such magnitude that in the event of perforating damage, such as a fracture or rupture, to the tubing the agent will exit therefrom and indicate visually the location of the fracture signalled by one of the sensors (8-11).

  • Patent number: 4622665
Abstract: Each of a plurality of stored program controlled stations associated with a digital telecommunication network includes: a plurality of clocks and an adjustable oscillator for generating transmission pulses used in a local station and adjacent stations; a phase difference meter for determining, with the aid of a clock selector, phase differences between the pulses of the oscillator and the clock pulses; and a plurality of regulation value generators which are connected via a regulation value generator selector to the phase difference meter. Each generator converts in accordance with a network synchronizing method, determined phase differences to regulation values for regulating the oscillator. The program memories of the stations include reprogrammable selection memories to store control information by which the network synchronizing method is selected and by which the clock selectors and generator selectors are controlled such that the oscillators are synchronized in accordance with the selected method.

  • Patent number: 4030862
Abstract: A helical gear pump in which the rotor is made of a wire or bar wound into a cylindrical helix. The rotor is made by twisting two wires or bars around each other, separating the two helices so formed, and using one or both of them as a rotor. The stator is made of a tube of plastics which is formed by inserting into the tube a mandrel having threads correspondng to required internal threads of the stator, causing the plastics tube to soften and applying external pressure to it to make its inside assume a shape corresponding to that of the mandrel. The mandrel is made by winding helically two wires about a third straight wire and securing the first-mentioned two wires to the third wire, all the said wires having about the same diameter as the wire of which the rotor is made.
