Publication number: 20250112884Abstract: The disclosed technology includes a technique for managing electronic messages on a user device. A device displays a list of graphical elements, each representing an electronic message, arranged chronologically on a message client interface. It identifies contacts from a contact list as senders of messages, associating respective icon images or photographs with these contacts. The device displays these icon images within the graphical elements. Additional features include designating favorite contacts based on communication frequency, designating VIP contacts based on user input, configuring new contacts with user-defined icon images, and accessing contact information independently of the message client. The technology also involves establishing connections with data stores to retrieve contact lists and icon images.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 13, 2024Publication date: April 3, 2025Inventors: Erik N. Lukas, Gregory O. Peet

Patent number: 12255864Abstract: The present technology includes systems and methods for managing electronic messages on a user device. A vertical list of graphical elements each corresponding to an electronic message can be displayed on the user device and user input can be detected. Each electronic message is associated with one or more contacts, and each contact is associated with an icon image. The user input includes an indication to select a particular contact. In response to the user input, the user device can display visualization of contact information associated with the particular contact, including the icon image.Type: GrantFiled: December 15, 2023Date of Patent: March 18, 2025Assignees: Deborah A. Publication number: 20240380723Abstract: A system can cause display of a mixed reality interface including multiple graphical tiles. The system can detect a user action of a user relative to the mixed reality interface while displaying the multiple graphical tiles and correlate the user action to the display of the mixed reality interface to interact with a particular graphical tile. In response to the user action, the system can display, through the mixed reality interface, the user's interaction with the particular graphical tile.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 1, 2024Publication date: November 14, 2024Inventors: Erik N. Lukas, Gregory O. Peet, Mark Lambert

Patent number: 12137074Abstract: A method performed by a mobile device includes causing display of graphical tiles on a display of the mobile device and detecting a gesture while displaying the graphical tiles. The gesture includes an indication to move a particular graphical tile among the graphical tiles. In response to the gesture, the mobile device can automatically move another graphical tile to accommodate the new location of the particular graphical tile and cause display of the graphical tiles arranged in a new order that includes the particular graphical tile in the new location.Type: GrantFiled: February 13, 2023Date of Patent: November 5, 2024Assignees: Whitehead Investments, LLCInventors: Erik N. Patent number: 11962561Abstract: A system can cause display of a mixed reality interface including multiple graphical tiles in a particular chronological order. The system can detect a motion-based gesture of a user relative to the mixed reality interface while displaying the multiple graphical tiles, and correlate the motion-based gesture of the user to the display of the mixed reality interface to move a particular graphical tile to a new location among the multiple graphical tiles. In response to the motion-based gesture, the system can virtually displace another graphical tile of the multiple graphical tiles to accommodate the new location of the particular graphical tile and cause display, through the mixed reality interface, of the multiple graphical tiles arranged in a new order.Type: GrantFiled: June 22, 2022Date of Patent: April 16, 2024Assignees: DEBORAH A. Patent number: 11171907Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention include systems and methods managing messages on a user device. A first plurality of message tiles in a first vertical list may be displayed on a visual display of the user device. The first plurality of message tiles in the first vertical list may be associated with a first time period. A motion-based gesture may be detected. The motion-based gesture may include at least one of a tap on a surface of the visual display, a swipe across a surface of the visual display, or an acceleration of the user device. In an embodiment, in response to detecting a first motion-based gesture, a second plurality of message tiles in a second vertical list associated with a second time period may be displayed. In an embodiment, in response to detecting a second motion-based gesture, one or more message management functions may be performed.Type: GrantFiled: April 3, 2020Date of Patent: November 9, 2021Assignees: DEBORAH A.
