  • Patent number: 9690810
Abstract: Systems and methods for managing databases are disclosed. One disclosed system includes a processor-addressable physical memory and a processor in communication with said processor-addressable physical memory and configured to execute an environment and to allocate an environment memory to said environment. In such a system, said environment is configured to maintain a database of objects in a database memory within said environment memory. An application executes in an application memory within said environment memory, and upon instantiation of a database object, the application environment allocates memory in said database for said database object, the database providing master storage for said database object.

Abstract: Systems and methods for managing databases are disclosed. One system includes a processor-addressable physical memory and a processor in communication with the processor-addressable physical memory and configured to execute an environment and to allocate an environment memory to the environment. An application executes in an application memory within the environment memory, and upon instantiation of a database object, the application environment allocates memory in the database for the database object, the database providing master storage for the database object. Upon an instruction to obtain the database object from said application, the environment provides to the application a reference to the database object; and upon an access operation on the database object by the application, provides to the application direct access to data of said database object.

  • Publication number: 20110082996
Abstract: Embodiments of systems and methods for managing databases are disclosed. One disclosed embodiment is a system that includes a processor-addressable physical memory and a processor in communication with said processor-addressable physical memory and configured to execute an environment and to allocate an environment memory to said environment. In such an embodiment, said environment is configured to maintain a database of objects in a database memory within said environment memory. • Patent number: 6921097
Abstract: Arrangement for wheel suspension in a vehicle (1) including a vehicle frame (9) that bears at least two bogie axles (16, 17) which in turn each bear a wheel axle (5, 6), and also a first bogie element (18) and a second bogie element (19) which extend essentially in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle and are suspended in said vehicle frame (9). The invention includes at least one connection element (25; 41) extending essentially transversely to the longitudinal direction of the vehicle (1), which connection element (25; 41) is connected movably to at least one of the bogie axles (16; 17) and also to the bogie elements (18, 19), for transmission of a force which arises when relative movement takes place between the bogie axle (16; 17) concerned and said bogie elements (18, 19). By virtue of the invention, good comfort and a high degree of roll rigidity of the vehicle are obtained.

  • Patent number: 6325889
Abstract: A new and improved way of continuously cooking fiber material, wherein temperatures and alkaline levels are controlled to be maintained within specific levels in different zones of the digesting process in order to optimize chemical consumption and heat-economy and at the same time achieve very good pulp properties. The digesting process includes a top separator that separates the transport liquid from the fiber material and permits the fiber material to be exposed to the cooking liquid.

  • Patent number: 4741713
Abstract: A boat propeller drive unit of the inboard-outboard type, having a portion securely mounted in an opening in a boat transom and adapted to be drivingly connected to a motor inboard of the transom, and having a propeller leg disposed outboard of the transom. This leg is adjustable to various angles in relation to the transom by tilting about a horizontal axis and is pivotable about an upright steering support. The drive unit comprises an inductive sensor connected to a wire passing through a central bore of the steering shaft, and a magnetic core fixedly attached to the propeller leg. The magnetic core has magnetic areas separated by non-magnetic areas, and when the magnetic core is moved under the sensor, the sensor functions as a pulse counter to count a pulse of each magnetic area is moved under it. The sensor thus provides an output signal depending on the tilting angle relative to the transom, which signal indicates that angle.

  • Patent number: 4624643
Abstract: A boat propeller drive unit, a so-called inboard-outboard drive unit, has a sensor which senses the trim/tilting angle of the drive unit and is designed to be connected to an electrical indicator instrument on the boat instrument panel. The sensor is a potentiometer mounted in a recess in the drive unit steering shaft. A shaft mounted in a bore in the steering shaft engages the potentiometer and is joined at its lower end to a gear, which engages a toothed segment on the helmet of the drive unit. When the drive unit is tilted, the gear is rotated by the toothed segment, and the output signal of the potentiometer varies.
