  • Patent number: 12240525
Abstract: The present invention provides for an improved air tank cross member deployable in a vehicle chassis. The ATCM comprises one or more structural elements comprising a tube forming an enclosure for holding a compressed fluid and having mounting extensions on an outer surface of the tube. The structural elements comprise two or more brackets connected to the mounting extensions of the tube and a pair of end caps disposed at opposite ends of the tube for forming the enclosure. The brackets are attached to the end caps by a fastening means to form a unified mounting geometry. The arrangement and construction of the structural elements of the ATCM provide for space-saving and weight-saving and increases stiffness value of one or more stiffness parameters of the vehicle chassis.
