  • Publication number: 20230364929
Abstract: A method for printing and curing an image uses a printer having a curing unit including at least one controllable radiation emitting unit. The printer includes a medium support configured to, in operation, support the recording medium. The method includes applying a predetermined pattern of a radiation-curable ink composition onto a recording medium to form an image; curing the image in a curing zone, wherein in the curing zone the recording medium covers a first area of the medium support, the medium support further having a second area not covered by the recording medium; controlling the curing unit to be in a curing mode in the first area of the medium; and controlling the curing unit to be in a non-curing mode in the second area of the medium support. A printer and a software product are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20230286297
Abstract: A printer includes a transport belt and a suction box. The suction box is in fluid connection with a suction source to apply an underpressure to a print medium on the transport belt. The suction box is provided with a plurality of protrusions having free ends that define a support plane for the transport belt and are provided with inlet openings. The transport belt is air permeable and endless, is provided over the suction box, and is provided with an inner channel structure which connects outer openings on an outer side of the transport belt to inner openings on an inner side of the transport belt. The inner openings are positioned to align with the inlet openings, and the inner channel structure widens from the inner openings to the outer openings.

  • Publication number: 20220356034
Abstract: A stacker module includes a lift table, a stacker configured to place sheets that are successively supplied thereto onto the top of a stack forming on the lift table, a controller configured to lower the lift table as the stack grows, a height-adjustable eject table, and an eject mechanism configured to transfer a completed stack from the lift table onto the eject table. The eject mechanism is height-adjustable for transferring stacks onto the eject table in different height positions of the lift table.

  • Publication number: 20220169469
Abstract: During flipping sheets may fold upon themselves under the influence of gravity. To prevent a sheet stacker is provided with a holding device for releasably holding at least a portion of the sheet at least partially during the flipping of the sheet by a sheet flipping device, wherein the holding device is configured for movement of the held portion of the sheet in a first direction perpendicular to the flipping axis.
