  • Patent number: 10151299
Abstract: A method of starting a wind turbine in a cold climate environment includes providing a wind turbine in the cold climate environment in a stand-still or near stand-still condition; allowing the rotation speed of the rotor to increase during start up of the wind turbine; optimizing heat generation within the gear box; and generating power using the wind turbine, wherein heat generation within the gear box is optimized prior to providing the generated electrical power to an electrical grid. Optimizing heat generation within the gear box may include maximizing internal power losses in the gear box during start up. This may allow the start up to be achieved without using external heaters. Aspects of this method may be used during periods of low wind conditions in cold climate environments so that once sufficient wind conditions are reestablished, the wind turbine is ready for immediate power production.

  • Publication number: 20180146292
Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to the field of headphones. A pair of headphones (200) may have a headband (210) comprising a flexible elongated strip (211) and a rigid leg (220) such as a spring wire. The elongated strip (211) may have a first end (211a) attached to a first earpiece (230a) and a second end (211b) attached to a second earpiece (230b). Furthermore, the elongated strip (211) is configured to extend in a curvature from the first end (211a) to the second end (211b) to form an arced strip (211) which is configured to extend along a portion of a head of a user of the pair of headphones (200). The leg (220) abuts against the elongated strip (211) and further extends along the elongated strip (211) from the first end (211a) to the second end (211b). Moreover, the leg (220) may advantageously be positioned along a center portion of the elongated strip (211).

  • Patent number: 9973843
Abstract: The present invention relates to ear gear (100; 200), such as headphones, headset, ear protection or similar, having a pair of earpieces (102, 103; 203), being attached generally to a respective end region (106, 107; 206, 207) of an interconnecting headband (108; 208). Each earpiece is adjustably associated with the headband, for adjustment of the position of the earpieces relative to the headband. The ear gear further comprises at least two extending legs (106A, 106B, 107A, 107B; 206A, 206B, 207A, 207B) provided at the end region (106, 107; 206, 207) at the headband, and arm members (110, 111; 211) that at one end (110A, 111A; 211A) are attached to a respective earpiece. Further, the ear gear comprises an end cap (110E, 111E; 211E) provided at the respective headband end region (106, 107; 206, 207). At least one of the extended legs is rotatably arranged to each end cap (110E, 111E; 211E), such that the end cap can rotate relative to the at least one leg (106A, 106B, 107A, 107B; 206A, 206B, 207A, 207B).

  • Patent number: 9894913
Abstract: A filling unit and a method for filling a confectionery mass into a container or a mold includes a fill housing with a filling nozzle (2) and at least two dosing pistons in a cylinder which is connected to the fill housing. In the fill housing, a valve is arranged for each cylinder. A mixing block with internal ducts connects each of the outlets with a respective internal duct in the filling nozzle. The confectionery mass is conducted from a filling nozzle into at least one of the cylinders after which the confectionery mass is dosed down into the mold or container by actuating the dosing pistons. The speeds of the pistons are controlled independently of each other, providing varying patterns in longitudinal direction of the ice-cream/confectionery product. The movement of the filling unit relative to the container or mold can be varied providing additional options for variation in patterns.
