Abstract: A clinical data exception management system receives clinical messages from a third party system, applies data validation rules to perform validation of various components of the received clinical messages, and stores the invalidated message and a rule (or rules) that invalidated the message. The system then resolves an exception and performs validation of the original message. As a result, the system captures important clinical information rather than requiring the third party system to retransmit the message.

Abstract: A procedural medicine workflow system collects data relating to medical procedures, organizes workflows, and allows statistics to be gathered on such procedures. The system includes a data management subsystem, a span of procedure subsystem, a work organization subsystem, and a business management subsystem. The system allows information from disparate sources to be used via a common vocabulary.

Abstract: According to various embodiments, methods and systems are provided for facilitating and managing communications between healthcare service referrers and healthcare service providers. Such communications are transacted via digital networks in connection with a healthcare information system. Referral of various diagnostic and therapeutic specialties is tracked from the initiation by the referrers to the completion of the services by the specialty service providers. Validation of insurance authorization is performed automatically if needed. Reports on the results of a requested specialty service as well as intermediate recommendations are made available to the referrer or other relevant entities upon completion of the service.

Abstract: A single enterprise directory integrates data produced by various healthcare information systems and third party medical products. The directory provides access to disparate data object, systems, and applications to allow for workflow management and enhance client service. The directory is equipped to provide notifications of changes or additions made to relevant partient data, and access to one or more data objects.
