  • Publication number: 20230042623
Abstract: Techniques and apparatuses are described for user equipment-coordination set, UECS, hybrid automatic repeat request, HARQ, that establish a HARQ timeline that is specific to the capabilities of a respective UECS. Compared to a single user equipment, UE, the HARQ timeline for a UECS depends on a number of factors, such as the joint processing capability in the UECS, latency of communication over a local wireless network between the UEs in the UECS, or the like. Based on its capabilities, the UECS can request uplink and/or downlink processing delay times or a UECS-specific HARQ timeline from a base station. The base station grants the uplink and/or downlink processing delay times or the UECS-specific HARQ timeline to the UECS in a layer-1, layer-2, or a layer-3 control message. The use of a UECS-specific HARQ timeline increases the reliability of HARQ signaling for uplink and downlink communication between the UECS and a base station.

  • Patent number: 11503610
Abstract: Techniques and apparatuses are described for enabling user equipment to coordinate for interference cancelation. In some aspects, base stations form a user equipment coordination set by pairing a UE of a base station with another UE of another base station. The UE receives, from the other UE, information regarding an uplink transmission of the other UE to the other base station, the information including I/Q samples for the uplink transmission. Based on the received information, the UE can model interference from the uplink transmission of the other UE to a reception of a downlink transmission by the base station to the UE. After the UE receives the downlink transmission, the UE cancels, based on the modeling of the interference, the interference to the received downlink transmission from the uplink transmission of the other UE. By so doing, receiver performance or link quality of the interference-canceling UE can be improved.

  • Publication number: 20220353803
Abstract: This document describes techniques and devices for determining a machine-learning architecture for network slicing. A user equipment (UE) and a network-slice manager communicate with each other to determine a machine-learning (ML) architecture, which the UE then employs to wirelessly communicate data for an application. In particular, the UE selects a machine-learning architecture that provides a quality-of-service level requested by an application. The network-slice manager accepts or rejects the request based on one or more available end-to-end machine-learning architectures associated with a network slice that supports the quality-of-service level requested by the application. By working together, the UE and the network-slice manager can determine an appropriate machine-learning architecture that satisfies a quality-of-service level associated with the application and forms a portion of an end-to-end machine-learning architecture that meets the quality-of-service requested by the application.
