  • Patent number: 8768259
Abstract: Method and apparatuses for collecting user activity information in a telecommunications system. A first telecommunications node (120) handling signaling of the terminal of a user sends a message (516) notifying a registration event (515) of the user to a second node (130) handling registration information of said user. The message comprises an information element (ACT) indicating whether the user has been involved in a service provided during a registration period comprised between a previous registration event (501) of said user and said notified registration event. At reception of the message, the second node updates registration information (430) and activity information (440) of the user. By including service usage information in registration notification messages, the operator of the telecommunications system can obtain information about the rate of service usage in the system without requiring implementation of neither new nodes nor new messages to be exchanged by new or existing nodes.

  • Patent number: 8443410
Abstract: At a user equipment a conditional bandwidth renegotiation method is provided for managing bandwidth renegotiations when the user equipment is engaged in an IPTV session with an IPTV network and a channel switch has been requested. When it is determined that the requested channel requires less bandwidth than the presently selected channel, a conditional bandwidth re-negotiation process is initiated wherein, upon having switched to the requested channel, a timer is started. If, a timeout of the pending timer is recognized prior to another channel switch request, a band-width re-negotiation procedure is initiated, while no bandwidth re-negotiation is to be executed if another channel switch request is recognized prior to timeout of the pending timer.

  • Publication number: 20110314112
Abstract: The invention is directed towards improving the handling of communication session invitations in a communication network. In the network (N) a communication session control device (10) receives an invitation (I1) for an end user to engage in a communication session, sends a corresponding invitation message (I2) according to an invitation prioritizing scheme (PS) to a group (S1) of end user terminals (16, 18, 20) and receives, from one terminal (16), a response (R) providing a selection of a group related device (22). Based on the response it then disrupts sending invitation messages (12) and initiates involvement of the group related device (22) in the communication session. The end user terminal (16) receives the invitation message (I2), receives a user selection of the group related device (22) and sends the response (R) addressed to the communication session control device (10).

  • Patent number: 5931017
Abstract: The invention relates to an arrangement for cooling supply air in an air-conditioning installation, comprising a heat transfer device for transferring heat between supply air and exhaust air by means of heat transfer surfaces; and a humidifying device for humidifying heat transfer surfaces on the exhaust air side. In order that supply air could be cooled more efficiently, the heat transfer surfaces on the side of supply air and exhaust air are separated into separate heat exchangers; and the heat transfer surfaces are selected in such a way that the surface temperature of the heat transfer surfaces on the exhaust air side is close to the dew-point temperature of exhaust air.

  • Patent number: 5806582
Abstract: A method and an arrangement for controlling heat transfer in a ventilation apparatus or an air conditioning apparatus, in which heat contained in exhaust air is recovered into supply air by means of a heat transfer circuit having fluid circulation. Additional heating or additional cooling energy is supplied to the heat transfer circuit when the heat transfer is insufficient for maintaining a desired temperature of the supply air. To optimize the heat recovery, the supply of additional heating or cooling energy is minimized by measuring the temperatures and fluid flows of the heat transfer fluid and of the additional energy.
