  • Publication number: 20250051040
Abstract: A mechanical switching unit for selectively moving a functional component from a first position to a second position has an input element, an output element, a first holding point and a second holding point. The input element is set in motion by a drive. The output element is in engagement with the input element and is set in motion by the input element. The input element moves the output element from the first position to the second position, and vice versa. In the process, the functional component is moved from the first position to the second position, and vice versa. The first holding point exerts a first holding force on the functional component in the first position. The second holding point exerts a second holding force on the functional component in the second position.

  • Publication number: 20240416947
Abstract: A method for monitoring driving experiences of an Automated Driving System (ADS) of a vehicle is disclosed. The method includes receiving a query to monitor for an indication of an occurrence one or more event message trigger conditions and an occurrence one or more event recording trigger conditions by monitoring ADS data. In response to fulfilment of the one or more event message trigger conditions, transmitting a first trigger signal to the ADS, storing, at a datastore of the ADS, an event message dataset including metadata associated with an event and transmitting the event message dataset to remote servers. In response to fulfilment of one or more event recording trigger conditions, transmitting a second trigger signal to the ADS, storing, at the datastore of the ADS, an event recording dataset including perception data associated with an event and transmitting the event recording dataset to the remote servers.

  • Publication number: 20220262136
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a control device and method for estimating a drivable space in a surrounding environment of a vehicle. In particular, the disclosure relates to a “free space estimation” solution with reduced validation effort. The control device includes one or more processors adapted to obtain sensor data, determine a surface flatness MF and a surface texture MR of at least one portion of the surrounding environment by means of two independent algorithms, and defining a drivable space based on obtained values.

  • Patent number: 10962040
Abstract: A bolt arrangement may connect at least two mechanical elements. The arrangement may provide a bolt including an outer circumferential peripheral surface extending in a longitudinal direction of the bolt, and a sleeve presenting an outer circumferential peripheral surface and an inner circumferential peripheral surface extending in a longitudinal direction of the sleeve between a first and a second axial end of the sleeve. The inner peripheral surface provides a tapering profile in its longitudinal direction. A portion of the outer peripheral surface of the bolt provides a corresponding tapering profile matching the tapering profile of the inner peripheral surface of the sleeve. The sleeve further provides a portion extending radially outwards at one of the first and second axial ends.

  • Patent number: 9576492
Abstract: A vehicle collision mitigation system (2) and method having a detecting device (3) and a control unit (4). The detecting device (3) being arranged to detect a certain field of view (6) defining a trigger area having an adjustable trigger width that is defined by trigger borders (9a, 9b; 10a, 10b) and is adjustable between a minimum trigger width (wmin) and a maximum trigger width (wmax). The collision mitigation system (2) is arranged to issue a system trigger signal at least in dependence of an object being determined to at least partly being present within the trigger borders if a collision is predicted to occur. The adjustable trigger width (w) is adjustable in dependence of the number of system trigger signals that have been issued during a certain time period.

  • Patent number: 9220454
Abstract: A drowsiness detection device and method for a person (4), having a digital camera device (2) and a control unit (5). The digital camera device (2) includes a video processor (6). The digital camera device (2) is arranged to detect the eyes (3) of the person (4) in a series of images. The video processor (6) is arranged to detect eyelid movements in the images and convert images of the eyelid movements to an electric signal (s(t)) which is transferred to the control unit (5) The control unit (5) is arranged to fit a modeled signal (y(t)) against the electric signal (s(t)) and to determine whether the modeled signal (y(t)) constitutes an eyelid blink. The control unit (5) uses a number of modeled signals (y(t)) determined to constitute an eyelid blink to determine whether the level of alertness has fallen below a certain threshold.
