Patent number: 12617498Abstract: Environmental barge with belt skimmer for spill response to oil pollution at sea. The environmental barge consists of an upper part with pontoons and a lower part with a bottom with an integrated hydrophilic filter. The environmental barge is designed so that at least four environmental barges can be stacked inside and on top of each other. Oil-mixed water is guided to the belt skimmer, which carries it up into the environmental barge, where the gravitational principle means that the oil pushes the water through the hydrophilic filter and back into the sea as the barge is filled with oil. The environmental barge can thus be completely filled with oil without increasing the draft. The environmental barge footprint is identical to a standard 20-foot container, and it has container corner castings, allowing significant spill response capacity to be quickly transported and deployed in areas where no other spill response capacity is available.Type: GrantFiled: November 10, 2022Date of Patent: May 5, 2026Assignee: FLEX-FEB ApSInventors: Jens Walther, Erik Schmidt

Patent number: 12103438Abstract: The invention relates to a device (1) for mounting a seat (2) or a standing plate (25) relative to a frame (3) of a vehicle. The device comprises a seat holder (4) or a standing plate holder (4a) having at least one flange (7) extending laterally from the seat holder or the standing plate holder. The seat holder or the standing plate holder is pivotally mounted to the frame so that the frame and the seat holder or the standing plate holder can move relative to each other. The device has at least one first vibration damper (8) and/N or at least one stop (10) limiting the possible movement of the at least one flange thereby providing free movement until limits for the pivotal movement are met; these limits are adjustable. The device may also be provided with other kinds of vibration dampers (15, 18) designed and arranged to counteract that vibrations and movements of the frame during driving are transferred to the driver. Hereby a less damaging and more pleasant driving is obtained.Type: GrantFiled: January 14, 2020Date of Patent: October 1, 2024Assignee: E & CO HOLDING APSInventor: Erik Schmidt

Publication number: 20220050875Abstract: The present disclosure relates to comparisons of data over time and generating recommendations to create such comparisons. A visualization in an analytics application may include a plurality of data points and a user may select of one or more of the data points to configure the visualization. If the context of the visualization is based on time, the software may determine whether the one or more selected data points includes the current time period. If so, comparisons of the data over time may be included in the visualization and creation of these comparisons may be recommended to the user. One or more data comparisons may be determined by comparing each of the one or more selected data points to a corresponding data point in a previous time period. An updated visualization including the selected data points and the data comparisons may be provided.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 4, 2020Publication date: February 17, 2022Inventors: Lauren Low, Brett Wakefield, Christina Obry, Sheng Li, Lauren Fung, Philip Mark, Erik Schmidt, Qiushan Zhao, Ali Moosavi, Jia Zheng Liao

Patent number: 10768829Abstract: The use of steaming functionality on a storage device may be optimized by performing a combination of stream and non-stream writes based on a size of the data being written to a given stream. For example, a method may comprise writing data associated with a plurality of files to a first set of one or more erase blocks, determining that an amount of data associated with a given one of the plurality of files in the first set of one or more erase blocks has reached a threshold, and moving the data associated with the given file from the first set of one or more erase blocks to a stream, the stream comprising a second set of one or more erase blocks on the storage device different from the first set of one or more erase blocks.Type: GrantFiled: June 21, 2017Date of Patent: September 8, 2020Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Rajsekhar Das, Scott Chao-Chueh Lee, Chesong Lee, Tristan C. Patent number: 10268737Abstract: Embodiments relate to techniques for performing data blending operations across multiple different data sets comprising data structures with columns and rows. The data sets may be classified and displayed in a visualization (i.e., chart) in a client interface. Columns and rows from the blended data sets may be mapped together (i.e., linked). Updates to the visualization, including adding elements from the data sets, may trigger a data blending process on the backend server in communication with a database. The server may blend the specified data by generating a runtime artifact representing a calculation graph for the blend operation and query the database to retrieve a resulting data set. The data blending operation may comprise collapsing dimensions of a primary data set with linked dimensions of a secondary data sets into a blended column and aggregating values of measures in rows of the blended column of the resulting data structure.Type: GrantFiled: December 30, 2015Date of Patent: April 23, 2019Assignee: Business Objects Software LimitedInventors: Alfred Fung, Ali Moosavi, Erik Schmidt, David Mosimann, Jung-Rung Han

Patent number: 10140325Abstract: Data blending operations are disclosed configured to blend data from a primary data set and a secondary data set. Primary and secondary data structure models are generated reflecting selected dimensions and measures of the primary and secondary data structure models upon which the data blending operation is to be performed. Each dimension and measure in the primary and secondary data structure models includes a local identifier. Unique global identifiers are assigned to each local identifier of the primary and secondary data structure models. Client queries are generated and communicated to a backend server to perform data blending on the selected dimensions and measures of the primary data set and the secondary data set. The client queries may comprise the global identifiers and mapping information between the global identifiers and local identifiers. The backend system retrieves a resulting data set in response to the data blending operation based on this mapping.Type: GrantFiled: December 30, 2015Date of Patent: November 27, 2018Assignee: BUSINESS OBJECTS SOFTWARE LIMITEDInventors: Alfred Fung, Ali Moosavi, Erik Schmidt, David Mosimann, Jung-Rung Han
