  • Patent number: 11524324
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a bent torsional profile comprising the following process steps: a) provision of a plate made of planar sheet metal, b) reshaping of the plate through the introduction of a bent trough oriented in the longitudinal direction of the plate in a central length portion (6) of the plate at a distance from the front edges of the plate, forming legs between the trough and the longitudinal edges of the plate, c) reshaping of the legs in such a manner that an open profile is created, d) reshaping of the legs in such a manner that a hollow profile is produced, wherein a longitudinal gap is formed between the two legs over the entire longitudinal extent thereof and wherein an air gap is created between the legs and the trough in the region of the trough, e) joining of the two legs over the entire longitudinal gap.

  • Patent number: 11104200
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method for producing an axle component for a motor vehicle, in which at least two metallic axle parts are joined integrally to one another. The axle component is a twist beam axle, in which lateral trailing arms are connected to each other via a transverse profile. In order to establish a target geometry of the axle component, the heat induced by a welding operation is utilized. The welding operation can be a specifically positioned weld, an additional weld or a blind weld. The heat of welding is utilized in order to achieve a compensation deformation and to compensate for distortion states and/or to align the axle component.

  • Patent number: 9815495
Abstract: The present invention concerns a wheel suspension 5 for a torsion beam axle 1, whereby a wheel mount 8 rotates about a virtual steering axle 18 as a result of a cornering force. According to the invention, it is further provided that a wheel mount bracket 6 with a yielding element 11 is coupled to the end 4 of a longitudinally extending swing arm 3 of the torsion beam axle 1, so that an additional steering in positive toe occurs as a result of a lateral force effect.

  • Patent number: 7689022
Abstract: An embodiment of a scanning system is described including optical elements that direct an excitation beam at a probe array, detectors that receive reflected intensity data responsive to the excitation beam, where the reflected intensity data is responsive to a focusing distance between an optical element and the probe array, a transport frame that adjusts the focusing distance in a direction with respect to the probe array, an auto-focuser that determines a best plane of focus based upon characteristics of the reflected intensity data of at least two focusing distances where the detectors further receive pixel intensity values based upon detected emissions from a plurality of probe features disposed on the probe array at the best plane of focus, and an image generator that associates each of the pixel intensity values with at least one image pixel position of a probe array based upon one or more position correction values.

  • Patent number: 5466353
Abstract: An electric power distribution system permitting active cathodic protection of reenforced concrete structures includes a converter device converting a mains supply voltage to low voltage electrical power, a computer in close proximity to the converter device, a cabling system leading electric power from the converter to parts of the reinforced concrete structures requiring active cathodic protection, a device for providing electrical contact between the cabling system and reinforcing iron of the reinforced concrete structures, contact elements providing electrical contact with the concrete mass, and distributing devices for distributing electric power to respective contact elements. While there is only one cabling system, the system permits control of power applied to each respective distributing device and two way communication of digitally coded and addressed information between the computer and digital control portions associated with each of the distributing devices via the cabling system.

  • Patent number: 4516592
Abstract: For washing a milker unit, the teat cups are inserted in respective flexible receivers which seal around the enlarged end portions of the teat cups and communicate with a distributor having an inlet connected to a vacuum line for washing liquid. During washing, a high vacuum in the milk pipe line raises a valve in the distributor, while closing a drain opening therefrom, and draws washing liquid through the distributor, the receivers, the teat cups therein, the milk claw connected to the teat cups, and then into the milk pipe line for washing the latter. After washing, atmospheric pressure prevailing in the milker unit and distributor allows the valve to drop to a position where excess washing liquid can drain through said opening. For milking, the teat cups are applied to the cow after removing them from the receivers, which are then stored by simply pushing them upwardly onto respective holders where they are automatically closed against entrance of dirt.
