  • Patent number: 12154225
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of real-time generation of a 3D geometry of an object. The method comprises the steps of calibrating at least one RGB camera pair arranged to provide images of the object, receiving input images of the object from the at least on RGB camera pair, and performing a stereo reconstruction in a first hierarchical level using the input images. The stereo reconstruction step further comprises the steps of a) performing a ray marching operation in a first resolution on the input images to determine geometry positions along each view ray of the images; b) applying a uniqueness criterion to the geometry positions; c) determining a normal for each geometry position; d) performing a regularization operation based on the geometry positions and the respective normal, providing updated geometry positions; and e) performing an interpolation operation on the updated geometry positions and respective normal.

  • Patent number: 12100105
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method and capturing arrangement for creating a three-dimensional model of a scene. The model comprises a three-dimensional space comprising a plurality of discrete three-dimensional volume elements (V1,1, V1,2) associated with three initial direction-independent color values and an initial opacity value. The method comprises obtaining a plurality of images of said scene and defining a minimization problem. Wherein the minimization problem comprises three residuals, one for each color value, wherein each residual is based on the difference between (a) the color value of each image element of each image and (b) an accumulated direction-independent color value of the volume along each ray path of each image element. The method further comprises creating the three-dimensional model of the scene by solving said minimization problem.

  • Publication number: 20240028510
Abstract: A data compression method is disclosed which involves obtaining a plurality of data blocks, each data block comprising a plurality of data values. The method performs base-delta encoding of the obtained plurality of data blocks, wherein a delta value means a difference between a data value and a base value. This involves determining, among the data values of the plurality of data blocks, a set of global base values common to said plurality of data blocks. The set of global base values is selected to minimize delta values for the data values of the plurality of data blocks with respect to the global base values in said set of global base values.
