  • Patent number: 7199903
Abstract: A method and apparatus to predict the color of an overprint of a set of colorants at a set of respective coverage percentages on a substrate of a substrate type using a printing technique. The colorants include some for which a device profile is provided. The method includes determining the colorant parameters of the device profile colorants; determining the spectrum of the substrate, providing spectral colorant parameters for the non-device profile colorants, and determining the color of the overprint. One version including modifying the data of the device profile such that the colorant parameters determined in the step of determining colorant parameters determines the colorant parameters of modified colorants that match the color of the device profile colorants and that cover at least the gamut of the device profile colorants.

  • Publication number: 20030186847
Abstract: Derivatives of insulin are described which are conjugated to thyroid hormones. The thyroid hormone is, for instance, D-thyroxine (3,3′,5,5′-tetraiodo-D-thyronine). Other analogues are described in which a spacer having a alkanediyl chain at least eleven carbon atoms long is included. Binding studies show useful binding characteristics to thyroid binding proteins. New synthetic methods in which racemisation of the thyroxin is minimised, are described.

  • Patent number: 6342225
Abstract: The invention provides an analogue of a pharmaceutical active whose molecular weight is less than 25,000 Daltons, the analogue comprising a pharmaceutical active whose molecular weight is less than 25,000 Daltons covalently linked to a pendant molecular group wherein as a result of the administration of the composition to the human or animal body an active complex having a molecular weight of 25,000 Daltons or greater is present in the human or animal circulatory system. The analogue is hepatoselective when administered to the circulatory system. Preferably the analogue is an insulin analogue comprising an insulin or functional equivalent thereof covalently linked to the pendant molecular group wherein the active complex is an insulin complex. Such an insulin analogue may be used in a method of insulin replacement therapy.
