  • Patent number: 10676095
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for improved gear shifting of a vehicle having an Otto-engine and a vehicle transmission with a manually actuated clutch of the vehicle transmission, comprising the steps of: determining a first set of condition parameter values, said parameters comprising clutch position, requested engine torque and engine speed; determining if the first set of condition parameter values meet first predetermined conditions; if the first predetermined conditions of said first set of condition parameter values are met, activating a function for interrupting fuel provision of the engine before disengaging the vehicle transmission during gear shifting. The invention also relates also to system and a computer program product for implementing the method and a motor vehicle equipped with the system.

  • Publication number: 20190128205
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for determining operation of a valve in a gas tank system comprising a plurality of gas tank and valve arrangements, each comprising a gas tank and at least one valve arranged at a passage downstream said gas tank. The method comprises: opening the valves at the passages in a first set of gas tank and valve arrangements; determining a first pressure value at a gas transportation arrangement downstream all of said opened valves; closing the passage at all gas tank and valve arrangements, except for one gas tank and valve arrangement; waiting a pre-determined amount of time; determining a second pressure value at said gas transportation arrangement downstream the gas and tank and valve arrangement whose valve have not been closed; and determining whether said at least one valve which has not been closed operates properly based on said first and second determined pressure values.

  • Patent number: 7474955
Abstract: The air fuel ratio of an engine adapted to run on a mixture of alcohol and gasoline can be adapted by a method wherein the air fuel ratio is controlled using an ethanol adaptation value, including reducing the enrichment factor from an initial value until a lean switch from rich conditions to lean conditions is detected, determining a first enrichment factor value at which the lean switch occurs, increasing the enrichment factor until a rich switch from lean conditions to rich conditions is detected, determining a second enrichment factor value at which the rich switch occurs, calculating the average value between the first enrichment factor value and the second enrichment factor value, adjusting the air fuel ratio using the average value.
