The first and second separators can be configured to engage first and second connector portions of a connector. An actuating mechanism can be operable to actuate at least one of the first and second jaws and the first and second separators. The actuating mechanism can facilitate application of, by the first and second separators, an equal separation force to the first and second connector portions of the connector to demate the connector.
