Abstract: A method for recovering a composition enriched in 3-hydroxypropionic acid from a fermentation broth comprising 3-hydroxypropionic acid and/or salts thereof comprises the steps of: (a) providing the fermentation broth having a pH of from about 2 to about 8 comprising: 3-hydroxypropionic acid and/or salts thereof, (b) acidifying the fermentation broth; (c) reducing the total sulfate ion and phosphate ion (d) distilling the resulting reduced ion aqueous solution and (e) recovering the product.

Abstract: An exercise training device for use with a motorcycle for working out to improve a rider's physical fitness is provided. The training device includes a base, a mounting plate, and a plurality of support legs extending from the base. A coil spring is vertically mounted between the base and the mounting plate. A motorcycle can be releasably affixed to the mounting plate with a plurality of hold downs. The coil spring deflects in response to lateral forces such that the affixed motorcycle can pitch and roll when subject to sufficient force.

Abstract: An electronic book system prompts a user to provide an image, for instance by taking a picture using a camera integrated on a smart phone. The user provides the image, the image is sent for processing by an image search facility and a check is made to see whether the image matches the prompt. Abstract: The present invention is a method and system for electronically distributing digital contents. The digital contents include textual, graphical and pictorial information. At least one portable electronic book is operative to request a digital content from a catalog of distinct digital contents, to receive and display the requested digital content in readable form. An information services system is in electrical communication with the portable electronic book to perform authentication and rendering the requested digital content. An authentication server authenticates the identity of the requesting portable electronic book. A copyright protection server renders the requested digital content sent to the requesting portable electronic book readable only by the requesting portable electronic book. At least one primary virtual bookstore is in electrical communication with the information services system. The primary virtual bookstore is a computer-based storefront accessible by the portable electronic book.

Abstract: The present invention is a method and apparatus for exchanging information between an electronic book and a cartridge. The electronic book has an on-board storage and the cartridge contains a cartridge storage. It is determined if the cartridge is present. If the cartridge is present, a transfer mode is identified. The information between the on-board storage and the cartridge storage is then transferred according to the identified transfer mode.
