  • Patent number: 11920092
Abstract: The present invention is related to the use of ethylene alkanoate-alkyl acrylate bipolymers with a high randomness monomers distribution, which are synthesized by semicontinuous emulsion polymerization process, characterized because it is carried out using slow addition rate of the pre-emulsion feeding ({dot over (q)}?0.009 kgL·L?1·min?1), stabilized this last one by alkyl glycol ether type surfactants, at temperatures higher than 75° C. and with solids contents above 25 wt %, which avoids the formation of large sequences (blocks) of a same monomer. This structural characteristic gives the ethylene alkanoate-alkyl acrylate bipolymers a high efficiency as chemical agents for removal of complex water/crude oil emulsions of crude oil blends.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 17, 2023
Date of Patent: March 5, 2024
    Assignee: INSTITUTO MEXICANO DEL PETROLEO
Inventors: Cesar Andres Flores Sandoval, Flavio Salvador Vazquez Moreno, Fernando Alvarez Ramirez, Gerardo Zavala Olivares, Erika Gomez Buendia, Enrique Cevada Maya, Jessica Valeria Fuentes Santiago, Edgar Benedicto Zamora Guerrero, Citlally Janinne Vargas Martinez

  • Publication number: 20220106530
Abstract: The present disclosure belongs to the field of chemical products for petroleum conditioning, in particular demulsifying agents. This disclosure concerns the application of terpolymers based on combinations of alkyl acrylates, aminoalkyl acrylates, and alkoxyalkyl acrylates, to destabilize water-in-oil (W/O) emulsions, in order to remove the emulsified water and salts dissolved in it, specifically, in the triphasic separation units for crude oils with API densities from 8 to 40° API.

  • Patent number: 8676376
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention include systems and methods of dispensing control for a product dispenser. In one embodiment, a system or product dispenser can be provided. The system or product dispenser can include a plurality of beverage ingredient sources comprising a respective beverage ingredient, a plurality of beverage supply lines in respective communication with the plurality of ingredient sources, at least one pump in communication with the plurality of beverage supply lines, and a controller in communication with the at least one pump and operable to execute a set of instructions. The set of instructions can be operable to store data associated with a prior poured beverage, provide a command for a user to dispense the prior poured beverage in a subsequent pour, and after selection of the command, based at least in part on the data associated with a prior poured beverage, dispense a subsequent beverage similar to the prior poured beverage.
    Type: Grant
