  • Patent number: 10948411
Abstract: Disclosed are methods of detecting one or more analytes in a sample by: (1) associating the sample with a surface that includes an analyte binding agent to result in the immobilization of the analytes on the surface; (2) contacting the analyte with a composition that includes at least one phosphor compound with an affinity for the analyte; (3) formation of immobilized analyte binding agent-analyte-phosphor complexes on the surface; (4) separating unbound phosphor compounds from the immobilized complexes; (5) detecting a presence or absence of a luminescence signal from the immobilized complexes; and (6) correlating the luminescence signal to the presence or absence of the analyte in the sample. The phosphor compound may include (Sr1-?Ba?)2-j-kMgSi2O7:EujDyk, (Sr1-?Ba?)2-xMgSi2O7:Eu2+Dy3+, (Sr1-?Ba?)2MgSi2O7:Eu2+Dy3+, (Sr1-?Ba?)2-xMgSi2O7:Eu2+, and combinations thereof.

  • Publication number: 20200261864
Abstract: Embodiments of a system and a method for continuously manufacturing a joint compound can be used to produce ready mix joint compound. The system includes means for continuously mixing wet and dry joint compound ingredients together and means for homogenizing multiple volumetric units of mixed joint compound to reduce variation in at least one joint compound material property (e.g., viscosity) across multiple successively produced volumetric units of mixed joint compound (relating to standard commercial packaging sizes for joint compound, such as five-gallon pails, for example) relative to the material property of the respective multiple volumetric units before passing through the means for homogenizing.

  • Patent number: 10532332
Abstract: A continuous ready mix joint or texture compound manufacturing system and a method for continuously manufacturing a ready mix joint or texture compound includes a continuous mixer having an inlet and an outlet, a pump disposed at the outlet of the continuous mixer, and a disperger having an inlet and an outlet. The continuous mixer is adapted to receive at least one dry ingredient and at least one wet ingredient at the inlet and continuously mix the at least one dry ingredient and the at least one wet ingredient to form a mixed composition. The pump is adapted to pump the mixed composition from the outlet of the continuous mixer to the inlet of the disperger. The disperger is adapted to receive the mixed composition and apply a shear force to the mixed composition to form a homogenized, disperged composition.
