  • Publication number: 20120283282
Abstract: We have found that exposure of an aqueous tryptophan solution to window sunlight results in the production of multiple tryptophan photoproducts that have the capability of activating the aryl hydrocarbon receptor and increasing the production of AhR target genes and proteins in hepatocytes. We have isolated three of those photoproducts not previously identified as AhR activators, their chemical identification and synthesis and the demonstration that all three have biologic activities as novel AhR activators. Further, one of the three is a completely novel, not previously described, chemical compound.

  • Patent number: 7757267
Abstract: A method, apparatus, and article of manufacture provide the ability to broadcast premium video programming. Thus, once premium video programming is received, it is encoded into the vertical blanking interval and unused/non-interfering Active lines found in a typical television broadcast. However, the encoded information is completely transparent to the pre-existing/typical television channel. The resulting encoded content is then broadcast with the typical television broadcast.

  • Publication number: 20070101772
Abstract: A laundry machine configured to supply a first amount of water to the wash tub wherein a wash plate can be oscillated such that clothes items directly above and in contact with the impeller are frictionally dragged in a oscillatory manner with the wash chamber while continuing to oscillate said wash plate, an additional supply of water is added to said wash tub such that as cloth items lost frictional engagement with the wash plate, the cloth items continue to move along an inverse toroidal rollover path at higher water levels.
