Abstract: A cockpit assembly for a micro-mobility fleet vehicle may include at least two visible and at least partially opposed faces linked by a fold aligned along an axis of a handlebar assembly, such as a first face, a second face, and an intermediate portion connecting the first face to the second face. The first face may include a headlight assembly. The second face may include a display of a user interface that is arranged to face a rider of the fleet vehicle. The display may be disposed adjacent to and/or beneath a mobile device holder. The first face, the second face, and the intermediate portion may wrap at least partially around the handlebar assembly to position the first face towards a front of the fleet vehicle and the second face towards a rear, a rider, and/or a seat of the fleet vehicle.

Abstract: A wearable device has a housing containing electronics and a band that retains the wearable device on a user's arm. Each end of the housing has a receptacle with a ridge around the opening of the receptacle. A band comprises a strip of flexible material. A pair of protrusions with enlarged ends made from an elastomeric material extend from an inner surface of the band. A portion of the inner surface of the band between the protrusions is in contact with at least a portion of an upper surface of the housing. The band is joined to the housing by aligning each protrusion with a corresponding receptacle and applying pressure. As a result of the applied pressure part of the protrusion temporarily deforms, enters the receptacle, and resumes substantially the previous shape thus holding the protrusion within the receptacle and the band to the housing.

Abstract: A novel isolated Pichia stipitis strain is provided. The strain is capable of fermenting at least a pentose sugar in the presence of one or more inhibitory substances to produce ethanol. A method of utilizing the strain to produce ethanol is also provided.

Abstract: The present invention addresses deficiencies of the art with respect to collaborative computer networks consisting of mixed data, control functions, analysis functions, and sensors in complex systems of systems. The method involves a database framework for representing complex heterogeneous characteristics of processes, systems, and systems of systems that feature many to many interrelationships. The homoiconic graph framework takes the form of an executable graph database, which is often faster for associative data sets, and maps more directly to object-oriented computer applications for large-scale operations. The invention provides a method to execute the graph database, in that the graph comprises nodes that are both data fragments and executable components. The graph is characterized as one or more homoiconic or executable graph frameworks, to distinguish this unique feature from the concept of a graph database, which generally is a repository of connected data only.

A light ring on the housing may indicate a functional state of the apparatus. Protrusions on the housing may interact with indentations on the sleeve to position and align the housing within the sleeve. The sleeve may include holes to allow sound to be outputted from the loudspeakers. Magnets and alignment elements may further situate and secure the housing to the sleeve.

The intermediate adhesive layer is affixed to the absorbent layer. The protective layer has a predetermined split defining a plurality of protective portions. Each of the protective portions are removably attached to the intermediate adhesive layer. The absorbent mat has a free peripheral edge that is not bounded or otherwise captured by a frame. The absorbent mat also has a dry edge area disposed adjacent the peripheral free edge of the absorbent layer. The dry edge area is defined by the absence of significant adhesion between the protective layer and the intermediate adhesive layer.
