The platform has a flexible matrix and a flexible tablet stabilizer disposed atop the flexible matrix for holding a tablet. The leading edge of the splitting wedge contacts the tablet and causes the flexible matrix and the flexible tablet stabilizer to flex thereunder. The tablet splits in response to the contact with the splitting wedge upon receiving a sufficient amount of force.
