  • Publication number: 20110197228
Abstract: A system of distributing electronic content includes a satellite and a network operations center uplinking electronic content to the satellite. The electronic content may contain advertising and various other information including television, movies, and music. An over-the-air broadcast center receives the electronic content from the satellite and generates over-the-air electronic content. A user device is used to receive the over-the-air electronic content. The user device may filter the electronic content broadcast by the over-the-air broadcast center and store various information in a memory cache therein. When the user desires, the information in the memory cache may be used by the user at his convenience.

  • Publication number: 20080120681
Abstract: A system of distributing electronic content includes a network operations center generating a digital television broadcast signal and digital electronic content. The system also includes a base station receiving the digital television broadcast signal from the network operations center and forming a wireless local area network. The base station over-the-air rebroadcasts at least a portion of the digital television broadcast signal as a rebroadcast signal using the wireless local area network. A user appliance is positioned within the wireless local area network and receives the rebroadcast signal. The user appliance has conditional access software therein. The conditional access software allows the user appliance to access the rebroadcast signal.

  • Publication number: 20060048208
Abstract: A method, apparatus, and article of manufacture provide the ability to broadcast premium video programming. Thus, once premium video programming is received, it is encoded into the vertical blanking interval and unused/non-interfering Active lines found in a typical television broadcast. However, the encoded information is completely transparent to the pre-existing/typical television channel. The resulting encoded content is then broadcast with the typical television broadcast.
