Abstract: A model may identify a scale type for the target water-bearing fluid using a physics-based model. A model may input one or more known properties of the target water-bearing fluid and the scale type into a machine learning model. A model may extrapolate unknown properties of a historical data set using the machine learning model. A model may predict a scale inhibitor applicability index based on the historical data set and extrapolated unknown properties for the plurality of scale inhibitors. A model may output one or more of a list of scale inhibitors for use with the target water-bearing fluid or a list of scale inhibitor properties.

Abstract: Methods and compositions for dissolving metal containing scale are described herein. An aqueous dissolver solution is applied to a metal surface having metal containing scale and the contact is maintained for a duration selected to reduce or remove the scale.
