  • Publication number: 20050242167
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method in a portable, digital device for generating a multimedia message, comprising a multimedia object, and to such a digital portable device. The method involves the following steps: a) emitting an interrogating radio signal in order to stimulate an RFID-transponder tag to emit a response signal; b) receiving such a response signal, which includes tag information, associated with a multimedia object; and c) initiating the transmission of a multimedia message based upon the tag information. This allows a multimedia message to be created without extra work for the user.

  • Patent number: 6259929
Abstract: The present invention relates to a radio phone composed of separate modules, comprising a basic module (1) and at least one additional module (2 or 3) detachably plugged thereto. The basic module (1) comprises at least the components and functions which are common to phones operating both in analogue and digital mode. The additional module (2 or 3) includes the main part of the electrical circuits required in transmitting and receiving an analogue or a digital signal. The phone operates as a single-mode phone when one of the additional modules (2 or 3) is plugged into the basic module (1), and as a dual-mode phone when both the first additional module (2) and the second additional module (3) have been plugged into the basic module (1).

  • Patent number: 5276920
Abstract: The invention relates to a circuitry by means of which it is possible to switch to a mobile telephone that antenna out of two or more antennae which has the best signal, without substantial alterations in the mobile telephone itself. According to the invention, the antennae (A, B), the antenna selection switch (2) and the peripheral circuits (5, 6) connected to it constitute an integrated part which is separate from the actual mobile telephone (1) but can be coupled to it by means of an antenna cable (3), and the antenna cable (3) is coupled to the radio part of the mobile telephone (1) by mediation of a signal combining circuit (4) which transfers to the antenna cable (3) the supply voltage (V) and the antenna selection switch (2) control pulse, and transfers and selects the RF signal.

  • Patent number: 5123031
Abstract: A control voltage generator in a transmitter arrangement for, e.g., QAM signals comprising a class C output amplifier (AMP). The control voltage generator (CVG) comprises a memory with a look up table (ROM), whereby the I,Q-signals (I,Q) of the modulating signal (DM) address a cell in the look-up table (ROM), the information of which is used as a control signal (CS) to control the amplifier output level (RF). The information is modified to compensate for temperature variations and other non-linearities.

  • Patent number: 5091919
Abstract: A radio transmitter arrangement for e.g. QAM signals comprising a class C output transistor amplifier (AMP). The control voltage generator (CVG) comprises a memory, whereby the I,Q-signals (I,Q) of the modulating signal (DM) address the control voltage generator (GEN), the information of which is used as a control signal (CS) acting as the collector voltage to control the amplifier output level (RF). The information can be modified to compensate for temperature variations and other non-linearities.
