  • Patent number: 7051082
Abstract: A communications system and method for providing services to a subscriber of the system is provided. The system includes a system element controlling call processing, service data for a subscriber of the system, and an element for storing subscriber data. The system is configured to associate an indicator with a service data structure of the service data of a subscriber. The element for storing subscriber data is configured to store the service data structure of the service data of the subscriber associated with the indicator. The system is configured to transmit from the element for storing subscriber data service data of a subscriber comprising the service data structure associated with the indicator to the system element controlling call processing service.

  • Patent number: 6980791
Abstract: A method and arrangement for charging a telecommunication network subscriber by means of an intelligent network (IN), the arrangement comprising at least one IN service switching point (102) and at least one IN service control point (104) and being arranged to route a call of a subscriber (100) from an originating switching point (101) or a transfer point to a particular service switching point (102) for producing an IN service, to send an enquiry from the service switching point (102) to the service control point (104) in response to call routing to the service switching point (102), to send instructions from the service control point (104) to the service switching point (102) for carrying out the subscriber (100) charging in response to the enquiry received by the the service control point (104), said instructions comprising information whether subscriber charging is to be performed by the service switching point.

  • Patent number: 6385446
Abstract: In telecommunications networks the problem with call forwarding restriction according to prior art is that access through call forwarding to numbers with ensuring an answer rather than possible further forwarding is not possible. The invention is based on the idea that call forwarding is allowed despite call forwarding restriction when the number to be used in forwarding the call meets special conditions set beforehand. The number is thus compared with the preset conditions and depending on the result of this comparison the call is either forwarded or not.

  • Patent number: 6023618
Abstract: The charging criteria for determining the price for a call between two subscribers in a cellular mobile telephone network, is improved. One cell, or a group consisting of several cells, is chosen as a group of special cells. Upon establishing a call, a mobile switching center of a calling subscriber analyzes whether the location cell of the calling subscriber and/or that of the called subscriber are members of a group of special cells. If this is the case, the charging criteria determined for the group will be applied. Additionally, private branch exchanges may also be connected to the mobile switching center.
