  • Publication number: 20180102186
Abstract: A method and a system for managing an electronic informed consent process in a clinical trial are provided. The method includes tracking time spent by a participant on reading content associated with an electronic informed consent process in a clinical trial. The time spent on reading the content is compared with a pre-defined expected time for reading the content. A deviation in the time spent is detected if difference between the time spent and the pre-defined expected time does not meet a time difference threshold. Furthermore, the method includes triggering an action to mitigate impact of the deviation on the electronic informed consent process.

  • Publication number: 20070130223
Abstract: A method for synchronizing an event in a first datastore and a second datastore. The method comprises the steps of selecting a first datastore comprising a plurality of events, selecting a second datastore, and providing a synchronization setting for an event in the plurality of events so as to indicate how synchronization between the first datastore and the second datastore is to be performed with respect to the event. The synchronization setting may indicate that a corresponding event in the second datastore is to be synchronized with the event in the first datastore, or that the event in the first datastore is to be synchronized with the corresponding event in the second datastore, or the synchronization setting may indicate that the first datastore obtains from the second datastore an update to the information of the event, adds the update to the event, and synchronizes the event based on the updated event.

  • Publication number: 20060212330
Abstract: A meeting request is created by one of a group of users having respective electronic calendars maintained by calendar applications on a communications network and is processed before being forwarded to any of the users invited to the requested meeting. The processing occurs through interaction between the calendar applications of the users and other elements connected to the communications network, without any interaction by any of the users. The processing consists of checking information available on or through the network to determine if the requested meeting is on a day that is a holiday for one or more invited users. Either a database of previously stored country specific holidays or holiday information entered by the invited users on their calendar is accessed to conduct the check.

  • Publication number: 20050198179
Abstract: The present invention relates to managing storage of messages remotely. A first message relocation command is transmitted from a terminal to adaptation means receiving management commands from the terminal and defining management commands to the server. The adaptation means determine a second message relocation command based on the first message relocation command. The second message relocation command is transmitted from the adaptation means to the server. The server, based on the second message relocation command, relocates at least one message or a part of the message.

  • Patent number: 6882870
Abstract: A mobile communication device is constructed for use in communicating with a wireless communications network. The device is adapted for carrying on or near the person of the user. For ease of use and adaptability, the various functions of the device are separated into multiple units. The units communicate with each other through a localized communication system in which at least one local traffic channel is generated by the primary unit. To permit bi-directional communication among the units, multiple access protocols are used, either TDMA or CDMA.
