A plurality of side walls extends downward from the outer perimeter and a plurality of coupling members are disposed about the side walls adapted to mate with coupling members of an adjacent flooring panel. A flexible continuous synthetic overlay is disposed about and secured to the upper surface of the at least two modular flooring tiles, wherein the synthetic overlay comprises an outer perimeter substantially similar to the outer perimeter of the at least two modular flooring tiles.

Abstract: A composite flooring structure and method of constructing a composite flooring structure are disclosed. An elongate plastic base having a top surface and a plurality of side walls forming a perimeter about the top surface is provided. An elongate contact surface material is secured to the elongate plastic base atop the plastic base, wherein the length and width of the elongate contact surface material exceeds the length and width of the elongate plastic base. After securing the elongate contact surface material to the elongate plastic base, the elongate contact surface material is cut such that the length and width of the elongate contact surface material approximates the length and width of the elongate plastic base. The elongate plastic base has a plurality of wings disposed about the sides of plastic base. The alignment wings are removed from the elongate plastic base after securing the elongate contact surface material to the elongate plastic base.

Clearance for the channel sections may be achieved by providing pockets in an upper layer of a first sub-floor panel in the area where the channel sections engage a second sub-floor panel with which the first sub-floor panel is in overlapping engagement.

Abstract: A tool for installing a floating floor includes a striking surface, a pair of opposed legs defining a cavity, and a body between the pair of opposed legs and the striking surface wherein forces created on the striking surface are transmitted to the legs via the body and wherein the cavity has a height that is set to limit a driving depth of a concrete anchor used to secure a subfloor panel to a substrate such that a pad disposed under the subfloor panel will not be compressed when the subfloor panel is secured to the substrate.

Abstract: A resilient portable sports floor system, more particularly one which is formed of a plurality of components which may be easily interconnected to form an integrated sports surface. The floor system includes a plurality of floor panels, each floor panel including a playing surface and four sides, at least one floor panel attachment mechanisms on each side of the floor panel, and a drive mechanism attached to each of said floor panels and attached to a floor panel attachment mechanism, the drive mechanism including a threaded rod. When the threaded rod is rotated it moves the drive mechanism with respect to the floor panel.
