  • Patent number: 4606954
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the manufacture by means of shrink-forming of a packing container of orientation-stretched laminate comprising polyester and aluminium foil, the laminate being formed to a tube (14) and subsequently being made to shrink over a mandrel (10,28) to the intended shape.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 20, 1985
Date of Patent: August 19, 1986
    Assignee: Tetra Pak Developpement SA
Inventors: Anders R. Rausing, Erling I. Nilsson
  • Patent number: 4559257
Abstract: A laminate, including an aluminum foil layer and a polyester layer, has the aluminum foil layer wrinkled or contracted into a large number of wrinkles. These can be straightened out when the plastic material is stretched, without any breaking of the aluminum foil layer.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 9, 1984
Date of Patent: December 17, 1985
    Assignee: Tetra Pak Developpement SA

  • Cap
    Patent number: 4399924
Abstract: The invention relates to a cap for containers intended for the keeping of pressurized contents. The cap has two parts, joined along a tearing indication. The two parts along their lower edge zones, are bridged by a disc of gastight aluminum foil, adapted so that it is torn up along an annular rupture line when the cap is opened.

  • Patent number: 4220249
Abstract: A closing arrangement for a packing container is disclosed including a tubular member that may be firmly anchored within a pouring opening of the container. A cap member closes the tubular member and is provided with a pull-ring. The cap member is joined to the tubular member by a first connecting member which may be broken to open the container. The cap member is also joined to the tubular member by a second connecting member which forms a hinge located diametrically opposite to the pull ring. The second connecting member retains the cap member on the tubular member after the container is opened. The pull ring includes a locking element which cooperates with the tubular member to provide a catch. Upon movement of the pull-ring to open the container, the catch is caused to disengage from the tubular member. In this way, the first connecting element is broken but the catch permits a reclosure of the container. The closing arrangement is preferably made of a plastic material especially polyolefin.
