    Abstract: A machine for sawing stones, of the kind having one or more reciprocable blade-carrying frames, is disclosed, wherein an actuating mechanism for said blade-carrying frame is provided, which moves said frame(s) substantially parallel to itself along a preselected elliptical path. A few embodiments of the machine are disclosed: one of these presents quite particular an approach by which the stresses on the pivotal and connection pins are considerably reduced by exploiting appropriate balancing contrivances, such as counterweights located at appropriate points of the specially provided balancing connecting rods. A longer service life is thus provided both to the blades and the machine as a whole.
